I think the 'your own house, how could you not have known'... could well be a hint towards Ellie's family.. Or maybe i'm just seeing what i want to see now.

Action starts around july 25th as Ollie has an email on his computer in the paper office from his boss about the sports day which is dated 25th July and is titled 'sports day tomorrow' or something like that.

No , I think they had been on holiday rather than maternity leave, Miller was handing out gifts when she came in and the email to Ollie said 'we're back BBQ?' Also her DD is about 2 (wink)

So many unanswered questions....

Was the postman arguing with Danny really Nige or Joe?

Why was there a power cut at the house the night Danny died?

Why was £500 found in Danny's room? From selling pheasants? Stealing red diesel? (That looks like the dripping blood on his hands at the beginning)

Was Danny cyber bullying Tom? Or was it the other way around?

Didn't Danny FB status's say things like "I want to shut all this stuff out" "I know what he's doing" ....

There's definitely a lot of secret 'trips' going on, and I agree the "how could you not know what's going on in your own house" comment is very pointed.

My money's on it being all about Tom.

nipers last week they said 'its been 8 weeks now' and had the return of school after the summer holiday - so that fits with a July sports day.

Also, remember when Porline took Tom up to the caravan and gave him a look? I am now reinterpreting that look as not being a murderer looking at him, but a mother thinking "OMG, did my son do anything horrible to these boys like his father would have?"

Yes there's definitely something overly sinister about Will Mellor's character. The Sandbrook killer would be a good fit.

What exactly happened in sandbrook? And what does WM mean when he says DT has been there before? Perhaps WM knows about the pendant because he is the sandbrook murderer? Or a journalist trying to get info on the case? Or a private eye ?

The big drama about the pendant doesn't ring true. If the Sandbrook case had gone to trial, surely all evidence would have to have been collated and the case already made in order for CPS to take it on. The chronology doesn't make sense.

I'm only surmising this from watching other, more plausible, crime dramas.

Yes, surely DT's first thought when Will Mellor said about the pendant would be that he must have something to do with it (Sandbrook) not 'hmm, does that prove he's a good psychic?' Hmm. Although I thought he said they had a suspect ie in custody, but just couldnt pin anything on him??

Yes, WM can't be whoever was charged with the Sandbrook murders, but he could be the real Sandbrook killer, if DT had caught the wrong man... Hmm.

The journalist said the details of the messed up evidence was public knowledge, so WM doesn't necessarily have to be connected to the Sandbrook case at all, despite being extra suspicious in this episode.

I really don't think it is Danny at the top of the cliff as the hairstyle is too short... I think it is Tom. I think Danny and Tom both went out with Nige to trap animals and fell out over how they split the money. Tom went out with Nige the night Danny died and while Nige was syphoning diesel from the tractor Tom went to the edge of the cliff and seen his dad dumping Danny's body on the beach..... Probably totally wrong but I am so on the edge of my seat now!!!
