ClaimedByMe · 04/09/2012 21:10

I'm in bed watching, quite shocked too!

ImPeppaPigOink · 04/09/2012 21:11

Evening.

what are shocked about? I'm a few mins back a bit as I was finishing my chicken sandwich before I watched.

Clargo55 · 04/09/2012 21:11

Very shocked!

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 04/09/2012 21:11

I love this series.

CaptainHetty · 04/09/2012 21:12

Yep I'm here too, think I might find this one a bit upsetting.

I find pretty much everything upsetting at the moment, but still :)

Pickles77 · 04/09/2012 21:12

Just people not having a clue, and a women home from hospital less than twelve hours going missing with a baby. And the conditions some people live in, it's so sad Sad
It's making me appreciate everything I have though

ImPeppaPigOink · 04/09/2012 21:14

It is very sad.

I also appreciate everything I've got.

Pickles77 · 04/09/2012 21:15

I am so grateful for all the help my midwife GP HV and sure start help im getting.
One actually said to me, it was nice to see someone appreciate extra help and support not feel it was a burden

Pickles77 · 04/09/2012 21:18

I'm not sure about that midwife Di, laughing about the missing lady?

OP posts:
VivaLeBeaver · 04/09/2012 21:19

I haven't seen anything that's shocked me yet sadly.

Pickles77 · 04/09/2012 21:19

Commentary is rather annoying too

OP posts:
hobnobsaremyfavourite · 04/09/2012 21:20

I think its utter frustration.

MrsJohnMurphy · 04/09/2012 21:20

What has that midwife got against swaddling? Didn't know it was a bad thing these days.

FrillyMilly · 04/09/2012 21:20

I think that's a nervous laugh. You must need a defense mechanism to cope with that.

Is swaddling bad?

MrsCampbellBlack · 04/09/2012 21:21

God that midwife is annoying me. Sorry most cotdeaths are nto caused by safe co-sleeping - ggrrrrrr.

FalseStartered · 04/09/2012 21:21

i'm not liking her much - imagine the worst thing about finding your patient being evicted as how to get on with your day Shock

poor editing..i hope so

Signet2012 · 04/09/2012 21:21

Budge over ladies me and bump are here too! Thought baby would be here by now but it seems not!

Feeling very sad for some of the conditions for these ladies and babies.

VivaLeBeaver · 04/09/2012 21:22

swaddling

MrsJohnMurphy · 04/09/2012 21:22

What conditions? Confused seen nothing terrible there, fair enough the overnight bottle was bad.

milkysmum · 04/09/2012 21:22

When you work in certain area's laughing is often a way of dealing with that stress- it doesn't actually mean you think the situation is stressful. Unfortunatly I have not seen anything at all shocking as yet.

MrsCampbellBlack · 04/09/2012 21:22

I get the over heating thing but she just sounds stupid. Sleeping on a sofa is so not the same as safe co-sleeping. And no mention of the impact of smoking on SIDS. Just scare-mongering.

I am so glad I had more enlightened midwifes and HV's

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 04/09/2012 21:23

Right just logged on to work out the problem with swaddling?

lauraloo09 · 04/09/2012 21:23

Been watching every week but just wondering why is swaddling so bad? My mw recommended it with DD and it helped her sleep perfectly and was planning doing it again this time round

Pickles77 · 04/09/2012 21:23

Oh no signet how far are you along now?

OP posts:
hobnobsaremyfavourite · 04/09/2012 21:23

Swaddling is ok if you are aware of the risks that overheating can cause. i think with all the other risk factors with some of these families they maybe prefer to advise against.
