I have been waiting for this for a very long time! :-)

It was a picture from the latest Empire Magazine. He's doing a swishy thing with a coat, it's very cool.

Not sure what I thought of that episode, felt a bit "meh".

snapespeare · 08/09/2012 20:35

No, I loved it. Smashing cgi dinos, neff ramping up to the doctor ('really wanted Amy to reply, 'no, he's married to my daughter...' and next week looks brill.

These are our best days, I pay my licence fee purely for DW.

The link takes me to a Matt Smith picture. Nothing dodgy st all!

FrankelSaysRelax · 08/09/2012 20:40

Phew, Glaikit have you scanned your computer recently? It could be a diversion at your end.

Tee2072 · 08/09/2012 21:00

The link works for me as well.

The end was very 10th Doctor. Didn't fit 11th persona at all.

Loved Mitchell and Webb!

KatyMac · 08/09/2012 21:02

He doesn't often kill people tho' does he; he normally gets a let out so they can escape if they do the right thing

They're going heavy on the deep and meaningful looks this series aren't they? The Doctor was giving Amy a huuuuge 'I know something bad is going to happen to you' look when Rory's dad was sitting on the Tardis doorstep.

Tee2072 · 08/09/2012 21:10

That does seem to be this series sub-plot; in which horrible way will Amy and Rory leave the TARDIS.

I really wish they'd mention Sarah Jane, since every time Amy says something like 'next time you may not come back at all and I'll be left waiting' it's images of Sarah Jane in my head. They had the Brigadier die on show when the actor died. Lis Sladen should get the same.

ChoccyJules · 08/09/2012 21:28

Mitchell & Webb added to the general frivolity of the ep. Poor old Tricey :-( I thought it a bit odd that Neffi went off with Riddel but DH says why not? (is Riddel a real historical bloke btw?). Liked Rory's Dad but SO scriptingbynumbers when they, gosh, needed two family members to fly the ship. And yep, overkill ahoy on the 'what's going to happen to the Ponds?' topic. Leave it til it happens!

snapespeare · 08/09/2012 21:36

Yes, absolutely about Lis.

I loved the episode! Nice when they do a slightly lighter one.

love Mitchell and Webb!!

GlaikitFizzog · 08/09/2012 21:45

I'm on an iPad. Not quite sure how to scan it. It came up twice too!

Tee2072 · 08/09/2012 21:52

iPad shouldn't be able to even have a virus. How odd.

HeadfirstOverTheHighJump · 08/09/2012 21:54

I loved Mitchell and Webb as the sulky robots. Great episode I thought, especially one for the kids. We had 6 children watching with us this eve (sleepover) and they were all crying laughing at the naughty step threat Grin

eyestightshut · 08/09/2012 21:57

Sorry to barge in, but just been reading this thread - Do you think there's any connection between River's regeneration as a toddler in New York and Amy and Rory leaving? All the stuff I've read suggests it's going to be a real tear jerker. I don't know if I can let DS watch it - he has just been sobbing because the triceratops Died - God knows how he's going to be when Amy and Rory depart Sad

snapespeare · 08/09/2012 22:02

Oh, but the doctor & the triceratops... :-(. Reminded me of the Vincent episode..

OP posts:
Tee2072 · 08/09/2012 22:04

Don't know, eyes. But I think it's going to be fairly sad and intense.

invicta · 08/09/2012 22:08

'there's dinosaurs on a spaceship!'. One of my favourite DW lines ever. It's the sort of thing a four year old would say, as it's so bonkers. Not sure where all the computers kept appearing from, but apart from that, I quite enjoyed it. I did feel there were a few gaps inthe story also.

edam · 08/09/2012 22:15

Mitchell and Webb were fun.

Last week's episode bothered me - the Doctor just would NOT bugger off in the Tardis leaving a Dalek empire in business. That's rubbish. And this week, they missed the convention that he always gives the baddie a chance - a moment to choose. Soloman may have been thoroughly bad, wiping out the Silurians and enslaving the Queen but not half as bad as Davros and the Doctor even offered him a chance.

confuddledDOTcom · 08/09/2012 22:25

I think he left the Darleks alone because Oswin had told him they'd got as bad as they did because of him, so I guess he is hoping that without him they won't be so bad, he did say that he had always wished he could do something about that.

M&W were brilliant! We kept saying we knew the voices, can't believe I didn't work out who it was until the credits Blush they were brilliant though!

I did point out to OH that a herbivore doesn't chase it's food so would it really chase the golf balls? I think I might be being picky, might have to see what my stepson says as he's bit of a dinosaur expert Grin

Lovecat · 08/09/2012 22:53

Loved Mitchell & Webb.

Did anyone else think [keithaharmon.files.wordpress.com/2009/04/fifthelement_alien.jpg[ the fifth element]] when they saw the robots? Both DH and I went 'oooh!' when we saw them :)

Loved this week's episode, a bit surprised when he let Solomon die, but he had been utterly revolting (and that 'break her' business with Nefertiti gave me the absolute shudders). I actually understood what was going on, for once!

Lovecat · 08/09/2012 22:54

stupid link fail!

try again

confuddledDOTcom · 08/09/2012 23:14

I didn't Lovecat, but it's been years since I've seen it, well spotted!

BTW, FrankelSaysRelax's picture was fine here.
