10.5 is the doctor that grew from the hand in the tardis when it fell into the fiery dalek pit that donna touched and caused to 'regenerate' he's not doctor 10 and he's not doctor 11 - he's 10.5 or 10 v.2

It's rather strange, I watch Doctor Who most days on Watch - double episode! - and we're just going through all the episodes we've been talking about.

thats quite nice actually - just had a google = Clara = 'bright' (well, yes...) Oswin = gods friend - that whole RTD god-parallel thing at the end of s3 - rising up against the master and floating around a bit as the earth is united in 'prayer'.

i like how whovians get a bit 'funny' with names - Donna noble - of noble birth = a lady = TIMELADY! Pond - River - Rain = anagram of the RANI!

oswald = 'god of the forest' the only water in the forest..is..the....River!

No i am sure she said oswin maybe the godess of the forrest though

Tee, that's how River gets her name. The people of the forest don't have a word for "Pond" so use River instead. Melody Pond = River Song.

Knowing Moffat and his Sherlock twists, etc, it's probably something really obvious that we've all missed. He's said that all of the Sherlock fans have missed a clue he planted about how Sherlock survives [brain explodes]

My problem with Moffat's plots is that they never quite work out.

I still want to know how and when Melody was inserted into Amy and Rory's lives...When did 'Mel' appear? Was she always there? Who put her there, exactly? For what purpose?

Talk about plot holes you can throw a truck through. That would be all last series for me.

Yeah I think that is the only part of Rivers timeline that we are still missing when did baby melody become Mel and grow up with Amy and Rory?

I think the purpose for her growing up with them was pretty obvious in "let's kill hitler" it gave her the perfect opportunity to get close to and kill the doctor.

i have assumed that she was in an orphanage and just went to their school... but i appreciate that i am building this on nothing. i certainly never got the impression that she lived with amy.

I assumed she was placed near to Amy and Rory and sent to their school etc by the silence as they knew the easiest way for her to find the doctor would be through them iyswim. I assumed she regenerated into Melody after we see her escape from the orphanage (in the alley) and was recaptured by the silence. I can't think to much about it, it messes with my head!

she certainly wasn't black in the space suit. and it's clear that one can regenerate as different ages. sooooo, she regenerated as a younger melody and was stuck somewhere? with a family? or another orphanage?

I think I need to watch that series again! I found watching the Martha series quite close together really helped it all make sense, so maybe that series would too...

I guess the baby was the little white girl we saw all through the series, then she got shot in the space suit, regenerated into Mels (or at some point because it may not have been straight away), Mels is then placed so that she can grow up with Amy and Rory because obviously they already know that they're going to meet the Doctor.
