Very Envy of you Pickles. I've wangled some Owners & Trainers badges for York, so hoping for some good access!

teaandthorazine · 14/08/2012 21:32

She's having a homebirth, why wouldn't she have a home sweep?

FYP · 14/08/2012 21:32

Visualise cervix as a rose Grin

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 14/08/2012 21:33

Not really enjoying the ott distinction between east and west wirral. Not everyone one in the east is deprived and don't make their maternity appointments etc. Equally, not everyone in west wirral is rolling in money in huge houses.

Bit of a shame actually.

What do you think fatpenis ?

3 hours? That's not quick! A girl at my school (aged 13 Shock) laboured for 45 minutes!

I know it sounds ridiculous, but I found hypno birthing really helpful. I delivered an 11lb baby at home with a tens machine and some gas and air and found visualisation really helped.

I practiced calling contractions powerful rather than painful and it helped to look at it this way. They were of course still bloody painful, but it kept me calm.

kilmuir · 14/08/2012 21:35

the posh one hasn't got a huge house anyway.
agree the comparision is unfair.

She looks terrified Sad

Pickles77 · 14/08/2012 21:37

13?
She looks terrified Sad

I don't like the comparison of the area and I don't live there

Yama · 14/08/2012 21:37

Yes, the rich/poor thing is not relevant or fair is it?

teaandthorazine · 14/08/2012 21:39

'I'm just going to take this bit of sick out of his mouth'

'Awwwww'

Grin
FrankelSaysRelax · 14/08/2012 21:40

Yup 13. She looked much older than the rest of us, but still, 13! Haven't seen her since she left to have the baby. Her son is 17 now [faints]

PatFenis · 14/08/2012 21:41

sarge he is indeed a knob, I do feel very sorry for Danielle as she is clearly of 'limited intelligence' shall we say and always seems to be waiting for him to speak for her.

haha granny you're correct when you say that the east side are not all deprived, I'm from the west side and I see my fair share of deprivation here too. There are some beautiful areas in Birkenhead and some proper shit holes in Wallasey too - I think they are being a bit unfair.

Wow that's amazing! Hope she managed okay!
That home birth looks rather lovely

Sparklingbrook · 14/08/2012 21:42

I am thinking all sorts about this homebirth and the midwife situation. Drinking tea downstairs?

teaandthorazine · 14/08/2012 21:42

There was a second midwife upstairs sparkling. What're you thinking?
