Pickles77 · 14/08/2012 21:52

Which one hobnob? think I know but not sure

VikingVagine · 14/08/2012 21:52

It's MN.

We're here to be flamed, roasted and grilled.

Speak your mind!

teaandthorazine · 14/08/2012 21:52

Well, yes, I agree about the doula but two mws at a homebirth is for safety and the doula's the mother's choice so... what can you do?

I promise you no one on the labour ward will have been deprived of a mw because that woman had a homebirth, honest!

Yama · 14/08/2012 21:52

Yes, I really hope Rachel loves her baby. I really feel for her.

NanBullen · 14/08/2012 21:52

oh you don't think she needs an epidural? are you the one in horrendous pain? No thought not. Angry

lastnerve · 14/08/2012 21:52

That bit with the baby in car and empty moses basket was horrendous, I'm in tears. I felt for that MW. thank you card finished me off.

I wonder why shes had so many took off though.

Sparklingbrook · 14/08/2012 21:53

All i know is that I had to buzz every time i wanted to see a Midwife while I was in labour as they were rushing about between lots of us.

DH had to go and find one when I wanted to push. Sad

if i had had a homebirth I would have had one/two to one?

Pickles77 · 14/08/2012 21:53

tea are you a MW?

ThePathanKhansWitch · 14/08/2012 21:53

The woman in labour asked for an epi, and didn't get one. Horrible midwife.

sayanythingrogerjustrogerme · 14/08/2012 21:54

Yes, Lozario, it does. "Paracetamol is very good" my arse, it doesn't even take the edge of my headaches.

happy2bhomely · 14/08/2012 21:54

I had 2 midwives with me. They were part of a community midwife team, who took it in turns to be on duty for home births.

If another woman had gone into labour the same night as me, then I would have been told to make my way to hospital because the midwives were busy.

Sparklingbrook · 14/08/2012 21:54

Awwww.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 14/08/2012 21:54

The one who sneered " she'll know when she's in labour"

PatFenis · 14/08/2012 21:55

Granny thats what I meant, They seem to be making a huge divide between the 2 areas but like you say there are nice and nasty areas in both east and west, it doesn't always mean that the 'chavs' live in the east ....there are plenty of really lovely families who I deal with through my work who live in the North End and some proper shite families I deal with in Wallasey Village ....I won't judge the area they live in - but I might have a cats bum face about they way they talk to their kids IYSWIM

Lozario · 14/08/2012 21:55

witch that's what I thought. But I bet now mw thinks "see you didn't need it did you" Hmm

Ahhh Rose Grin

FanOfSlippers · 14/08/2012 21:55

And, YAY - she's gonna love her.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 14/08/2012 21:56

Why do you think I wanted a homebirth?
I had one to one attention for the crucial bit and then left alone after.
