Loved the tension. All of the scenes were knife-edges. Yes, he could have been plainer, but it was used to build up the horror of the girls position. Really thought he was being literally washed up at the end.

Agree tonights were better although the "friend" had too much confidence for a 16 year old. I rewatched the beginning of the DT episode and she definitely said she went to canada 13 years ago. maybe she split up with him 17 years ago, in which case her dumping her "true love" makes even less sense.
I thought the Turk was an unlikely toilet attendant. Too handsome and articulate. they even had him reading a book on the beach. I'm glad she left her creepy husband. He came across as totally thick. I couldn't believe Billy Piper's character would give him the time of day.

last nights two were much better.dont know if it was because we had some back history to jane horrock's wanker husband. go girl. so glad she left. so sad for her when her daughters had flown the nest and also perhaps they were better because they were one ater the other. the others were just so short on their own.
the 16 year old girl looked a bit like billie piper i thought.
