I remember in th'olden days when there were no spoilers. The nation had no idea whether Deidre would choose to stay with Ken or do a runner with Mike Baldwin until it was actually broadcast. And we didn't know who shot JR.

So for those of us with no life who enjoy Corrie without spoilers, a new thread discuss our beloved soap with all its flaws

Did anybody notice (is anyone as sad as me...) that Kylie said 'when we met in Ayia Napa....' They actaully supposedly met in Tenerife!! I tweeted ITV corrie. Yes, that's how sad I am

Just watched the first Mon episode on itv player - classic ending! Looking forward to episode 2...

now watched the second. Sean and Marcus are so lovely - and hilarious re the intellectual property of the hot pot. If only they's get shot of Dev and his balrdy irritating voice, manner, appearance, would be good again...

I'm liking Kirsty as scary unpredictable psycho-woman.

Actually, now I've seen the way Kirsty's father speaks to her mother, I think we are gonna start to see where she gets her abusive ways.

And YES about Sunita... lets hope that really kicks off in an interesting way!

Poor Kirsty's Mum. Clearly he is hitting her. There is the possibility that he has hit Kirsty too, I suppose which would explain a LOT.

The scene with Kirsty and her horrible father was very well-played,and quite gripping. She is a good actress. Found myself feeling really sorry for her.

What happened to Cheryl and her 'ill' ex boyfriend. I watch it regliously but can't for the life of me remember.

She eventually found out he was lying, but as she'd got back together with him, didnt want to go back to Lloyd, so left both of them and left for good.

I quite liked tonight's. The Kirsty storyline is a bit more interesting now.

Cheryl did want Lloyd back but he turned her down, many tears were shed betwixt them.

Hopefully Kirsty is becoming more of a three dimensional character now. Isn't it funny how many characters in Corrie you start off really disliking, and then they become part of the fabric. As I'm so ancient, I remember Ivy and Vera appearing, and really wanting them to go, likewise Becky and maybe now Kylie and Kirsty. I suppose they're pretty good scriptwriters after all!

Ah yes, sorry, my mistake.

God, yes, Becky caused a lot of faces when they introduced her and I really think she is a modern 'legend' of the street and will be talked about in the Bet Lynch / Vera Duckworth way in the future.

I notice how they make characters/families awful when they join and then they round them out, calm them down and they become old favourites..Becky was a classic example and now Kylie's going the same way. I remember the Battersbys joining and they were AWFUL..........then Janice, Toya and Leanne turned out OK - Les maybe less so apart from when he was nice to Ches....who yes finally showed up again last night!!

The Windasses were the Family From Hell when Tinas dad (Gails husband, can't remember name) ??Joe - fitted their kitchen and they refused to pay.
Gary was Teen from Hell, then went all nice.
