The all new Corrie thread NO SPOILERS PLEASE!

I remember in th'olden days when there were no spoilers. The nation had no idea whether Deidre would choose to stay with Ken or do a runner with Mike Baldwin until it was actually broadcast. And we didn't know who shot JR.

So for those of us with no life who enjoy Corrie without spoilers, a new thread discuss our beloved soap with all its flaws Grin

Agree - but things can't go smoothly otherwise there won't be a reason for Peter to leave...
But it does kinda make sense that Leanne wants to listen to her mother as she's not learned (not having one) that mother's aren't always right Wink

spongebrainfatpants · 20/06/2012 12:02

I can't stand Leanne.

That is all.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 20/06/2012 12:18

I still cannot believe that Stella ever got it together with Les Battersby, however briefly, just does not compute.

Leanne needs to put some proper routines in place for Simon as quickly as possible, with contact for Peter planned ahead and not in front of Simon. Peter is too impulsive and needs to be told that that is the way it is going to be. Leanne needs a place of her own too. Unless Stella kicks Carl out and Eva moves out too, I could see Stella, Leanne and Simon being a workable arrangement. It's all going to get complicated if Leanne gets back with Nick though.

ajandjjmum · 20/06/2012 17:57

WhoKnows.......it's a story!!! You're planning their lives like I do! Smile

whatkungfuthat · 20/06/2012 18:59

Re Nick and Leanne, thats the whole point isn't it? To complicate things, both with Simon and Eva (if it happens) I still think Leanne should move to the bookies flat and Peter should move into Carla's place

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 20/06/2012 19:06

It would make total sense now for Peter to move into Carla's, I'm sure Simon must have been the main reason for staying put in the bookies flat.

TheNightWatch · 20/06/2012 19:06

It wasnt on last night, was it?

I do not still understand why Carla left that flat and, what Leanne is playing at messing around with arrangements like that.

What happened to Chesney and the babby by the way?

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 20/06/2012 19:12

No, it's on tonight though. I suppose Leanne just felt that no sooner had she got Simon than Peter was trying to call all the shots again, he did put her on the spot somewhat.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 20/06/2012 20:12

Dev's crying was actually ok for once!

LeeCoakley · 20/06/2012 22:16

Eurgh! I never made the connection between Stella and Les! That's revolting!

BettyTurnip · 21/06/2012 13:04

WHERE WERE SUNITA AND DEV'S CHILDREN WHEN THEY WERE IN THE PUB???!!! Annoys me someting rotten.

janesnowdon1 · 21/06/2012 14:59

Me too ! They were meant to be "upstairs" but then Dev and Sunita were suddenly able to go to the pub alone. I hate the way Dev keeps calling Sunita "honey" and Carla calls Peter "baby" all the time -yuk!

Agree with others -I hate the way they have so many characters now that storylines and people get dropped for long periods of time and they seem to concentrate exclusively on just a few people for weeks at a time .

whatkungfuthat · 21/06/2012 15:40

I think we are supposed to believe that Sawphie the omni-slave did the babysitting

swearytramp · 21/06/2012 15:42

It used to be Rita or em'lee that were always called upon to babysit..

TheNightWatch · 21/06/2012 16:25

Ive just watched it and have just realsed that Stella had my jumper on all the way through it. Im not sure if I like it now....

WellHello · 21/06/2012 21:43

Whats happened with Dev and Sunita tonight? Ive missed a couple of episodes..

swearytramp · 21/06/2012 21:56

he cried, she looked wobbly lipped and they ended up annoucning their engagement in t'rovers, with an invisible babysitter looking after AAAAAAAdi and AAAAAArsha

BettyTurnip · 21/06/2012 22:02

TheNightWatch - I was actually thinking Stella's jumper was rather nice, if that's any consolation! Staying with the sartorial theme, I simply cannot take my eyes off Eva's boobs when she's stuffed into one of her form fitting dresses, is it just me (and probably DH)?

I have to admit to having a snigger at the nicknames on the Digital Spy threads, St Ella and the twins Asda and Aldi spring to mind.

TheNightWatch · 21/06/2012 22:05

H and M £16

How did Eva know? Good on her for putting Sunitta in her place.

SleepyFergus · 21/06/2012 22:17

Betty I'm with you re Eva's globes. They do tend to spilleth over don't they. She's actually quite a funny character now!

WellHello · 21/06/2012 22:20

They got engaged??? Didnt expect that! So has she gone off Stellas boyf (can never remember his name) or is all not as it seems?

BettyTurnip · 21/06/2012 22:33

Eva and her globes (Grin) overheard Sunita and Karl having a row where she flung his money back at him.

Think Sunita just realised there was nowt going to happen there with Karl so she might as well head back to Dev, her heart's not in it though.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 21/06/2012 22:35

I was yelling at Dev to dump her. She is obviously not happy, I hope they don't marry. Eva overheard Carl and Sunita arguing in the backroom and walked in and saw the money.

WellHello · 21/06/2012 22:45

Ahh so Eva will probs drop them both in it by mentionning it to someone and word getting around?

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 22/06/2012 07:59

Eva assumed Carl was back on the gambling, so that's what she told Stella, who chucked him out, then changed her mind. Eva obviously suspects there is more to it. Sophie also had her suspicions a few weeks ago, maybe between the two of them they will work it out / let slip.
