I remember in th'olden days when there were no spoilers. The nation had no idea whether Deidre would choose to stay with Ken or do a runner with Mike Baldwin until it was actually broadcast. And we didn't know who shot JR.

So for those of us with no life who enjoy Corrie without spoilers, a new thread discuss our beloved soap with all its flaws

What happened to Michelle's 'real' son - the one that got swapped with Ryan just after his birth in the hospital? I stopped watching it for a while after that cos I just hated that storyline!

Was a little unreal wasn't it? I suppose without creating a never-ending run of drama they wouldn't have a show though. Funny at the moment - there's some storylines that I love, and others I hate.

I wonder where they are going to take the Julie/brian/baby storyline now...adoption?

I'd forgotten all about the 'Michelle wrong baby' story - that was a bit naff wasn't it?

I'd love for Julie and Brian to adopt, they're a couple of good characters! I wonder if they'll be über fast tracked like Anna was? Apply one week, get kid the next week! That all seemed a tad implausible!

The "real" son disappeared never to be seen again didn't he. That wasn't one of Corrie's finer moments.

I'd be surprised if they did adoption again so soon. Maybe they could foster, like Roy and Hayley used to, and Rita . Fostering is quite a good plot device for trying out new young characters without committing to them. Unlike babies switched at birth.

Maybe they could be like Angie and Brad and have a rainbow family? Have they done a surrogate story yet?

Didn't Rita foster 'Jenny'? Can't remember what happened to her.

Wasn't there a big drama at Rita's foster daughter's wedding, can't remember what though.

I remember Jenny, she had a big red hairdo much like Rita!

Tracie Bennett who played Jenny is now a Broadway star playing Judy Garland.

No she wasn't the one that played Jenny....although she was in it

Has she? I am trying not to read what's happening in the papers, but can't always resist. We're probably straying into spoiler territory here anyway. That's good news anyway, I have warmed to her lately.

Tracie Bennett was Sharon, it was her wedding their was a big hoo-hah at (think her husband to be had been shagging Natalie Barnes). She was fostered by Rita and Len.

Nancy are you thinking of Jenny Bradley, Alan's daughter?

I can remember both of them but hazy about the details. I remember the first one coming back to get married and her fiancé doing the dirty on her (was he a policeman?) but I thought it was with Fiona the hairdresser.

Did Rita bring up Jenny after Alan Bradley died?

Did Sharon arrive on the Street with Gail? Or am I going totally gaga now!! I think Jenny was Alan Bradley's daughter - forgotten all that.

I'm thinking of Jenny Bradley - yes, she was Alan's daughter. He was the nutter that got hit by a team in Blackpool after he caused Rita to to loco wasn't he. So maybe Rita didn't foster her after all, but just looked after her. I'm sure she used to be mentioned occasionally in the same way that Rita refers to Mavis and her B&B in the Lakes...

Sharon had something to do with Martin Platt didn't she? I remember him being around at the same time.

I know we're not allowed spoilers on here but I will say that Michelle's son hasn't been forgotten (not the real one)

The elastic walls of that pub strike again. Why didn't Peter suggest that Simon and Leanne stay in the bookies flat so he can go and live in Carla's luxe pad? It can't be that far from the street as he got round there sharpish when he heard about the rape.
