I remember in th'olden days when there were no spoilers. The nation had no idea whether Deidre would choose to stay with Ken or do a runner with Mike Baldwin until it was actually broadcast. And we didn't know who shot JR.

So for those of us with no life who enjoy Corrie without spoilers, a new thread discuss our beloved soap with all its flaws

Carla's horrible at the moment! Was she like that before the rape charge? I can't really remember.

Why don't Tommy and Tina just do a runner? Nothing to keep them in Weatherfield so why not start again somewhere they are not indebted to a very unbelivable drug dealer/loan shark? Oh, it proper gets me goat, it does

This gangster stuff is silly and EastEnders-ish. Corrie doesn't do it well and should steer clear.

I think Tommy would be alright in the sack.

I'd forgotten about Dr Matt, he'd be alright I'd say....

I love the relationship between Eileen and Steve, they are obviously so fond of one another, it's nice to see a male/female friendship on the Street where they aren't just jumping into bed together or getting married after knowing each other for 5 minutes.

Gawd! Next week's storyline just popped up on my BT home page. Utterly ridiculous if I've gleaned right

I agree (having had a sneaky peak at the TV pages in the paper today). Just hoping it will put a few of the current storylines to bed.

I also noticed that the schedules are going to be all messed up from Friday because of the football, thank goodness for Sky+

I know the Sunita/Karl storyline is totally unconvincing, but I just thought it was ridiculous for her to be lecturing him about his gambling and 'doing the right thing' when they are both cheating on their partners!

WKWHMG agree about Steve & Eileen ( and at the risk of a retrospective spoiler, no they didn't end up in bed on Fri, so you can safely watch on iplayer )

Love Eileen and Steve and also them with Lloyd and Becky. Tv gold.

I'm very worried about Tommy. I have to say I'm with Tina - this couldn't end any other way but him being in prison. Any other end to this stroyline would just be completely unrealistic

Maybe the ganstas will meet a convenient sticky end in the canal of death, save us from Tommy and Tina storylines involving prison??

Agree re Steve and Eileen, 2 excellent characters with great banter opportunities. I do miss Becky though. Although Kylie is shaping up to be a good replacement as long as she gets decent storylines.

Watching Corrie with DH is intensely painful at the moment- he's a lawyer and with the Tommy/loanshark storyline he keeps going on about how they should just go to the police, esp now Tommy has been beaten up!

Quite liked how Kirsty had a nice moment with the factory girls on Friday. Although so stupid she's In Packing whilst pregnant!

DH claims not to watch it, but every time he does happen to be around when it's on he plagues the life out of me with his questions about who is doing what, it's much easier to concentrate without him there.

I can't stand Kirsty. Awful character. Terrible actress.

I did think she was going to whack him today though, that was quite tense. The Tommy thing - arghhh!!!! He's so stupid that frankly now he deserves whatever he gets!

I thank all that is holy for itvplayer, so can watch at my own convenience and have just seen the Sun extra episode (thanks this thread, would not have know about it otherwise). Whyyyyyyyyyyyy do people just not go the police??? Okay is television, not RL, must getta grip....
