This place is very odd.

first of all they CTG everyone, then almost everyone lies ofn a bloody bed. and now VBAC woman is in the pool. one flipping extreme to another

Ye gads, that midwife is seriously annoying.

tinof they do a vaginal examination with their fingers and each finger is roughly 1cm so if they can fit 3 fingers in then you're 3cm dilated.

Stick their fingers in your cervix

I was put it on to keep my headaches away and drain the fluid. Aswell as the chance it will help me to lose weight.

I put weight on and the other people who I have spoke to has not lost any. It did nothing for me, the other side effects were terrible, especially the pins ans needles constantly :(

Cant imagine anything worse than being in pain and having a midwife who believes labour is 'not painful'

I liked the midwife that delivered a colleagues baby a couple of weeks ago. She was lovely!

Im going to sound really thick but any way... how do they use their fingers to measure everyone's fingers are different sizes?
And are they talking about dilation of the uterus or the vagina?

and yep - her experience of mother hood is her doll

I think midwives should have a name badge, with stars for every birth they've had themselves. Like McDonalds.

Will she get her epi after the break?

And if she does will she end up with an assisted delivery? (vbac + epidural does often seem to = forceps/ventouse)

so do they put two hands in side you then?

wouldnt it be funny if the young mum chucked up all over chirpy midwife in the throes of transition :)
