Just watched part 2 of Homeland shown on Channel 4 last night.

Fantastic drama with an excellent script, superb acting and lots of twists and turns.

Has he been brainwashed????

According to my sister DUI is very common where she is in California and she has loads of people coming to where she works to do their community service. She said there isn't the availability of cabs like there is in the UK.

But yes, Tsk Tsk indeed - I noted it too!

Also Carrie looks FAB in a T shirt and jeans

Great thread. And glad to know that I'm not the only one who thinks DL is lush. Or am I? Wink It's defo the chemistry between him and Claire Danes though as he did nothing for me when he was on Graham Norton, as himself.

You never know with these series, whether something's in there for a reason, ie Saul's polygraph spiking, either as a clue or a red herring. Or if it's a plot hole from poor writing. Hmm

Keeps us all guessing though!

valiumredhead · 02/04/2012 13:51

YY DL is very lush!

LeBOF · 02/04/2012 13:57

How has Brody suddenly got half decent in bed, when previously he could only muster a somewhat impersonal wank?

Hassled · 02/04/2012 14:01

Because, BOF, it is only with Carrie that he feels true freedom. Isn't that what he was saying while they were treking to see the waterfall which, incidentally, we never got to see (I do love a good waterfall). Carrie has unleashed his inner whatsit.

valiumredhead · 02/04/2012 14:03

Because Carrie understands him and his wife doesn't.

valiumredhead · 02/04/2012 14:03

I'd like to unleash his inner whatsit too!

cronsilksilt · 02/04/2012 14:05

Claire Danes is funny when she's drunk though isn't she (I know she's not really drunk but still...)

LeBOF · 02/04/2012 14:09

Hmm, I'm not convinced. I would have to be a LOT drunker than Carrie was to have risked Mr 30 Second Squirt.

Hassled · 02/04/2012 14:11

He does seem to lack, well, stamina, doesn't he? Although in fairness if that was his first shag in 8 years stamina may not have been at the forefront of his mind.

LeBOF · 02/04/2012 14:19

He'd been perfecting his oral skills in the meantime though- albeit on Abu Nazir. I thought I'd seen the hint of a looming cock in flashback, and I was right.

cronsilksilt · 02/04/2012 14:20

no way .... you spotted that?!Grin

LeBOF · 02/04/2012 14:24

Honestly! Grin

I definitely picked up that he had been sexually abused anyway- I hadn't thought it was a Stockholm Syndrome love thing though.

Hassled · 02/04/2012 14:26

Blimey Shock.

Sunnywithachanceofshowers · 02/04/2012 14:41

I'd missed the hint of cock (Dulux's next whitish colour?) but did think that he'd had some kind sexual experience with Abu Nazir.

cybbo · 02/04/2012 14:44

I want to see Damien Lewis, naked, in a waterfall

AWimbaWay · 02/04/2012 14:50

Not reading yet as haven't watched last night's yet, but loving ii so interested in reading what you all think once I've caught up.

Bue · 02/04/2012 20:27

Whaaaat? I think you're all imagining any sort of sex with Nazir! Are you SURE? You can definitely have Stockholm Syndrome or 'love' someone without a sexual element.

I really want Carrie and Brody together :( And I want the wife back with Mike. Makes so much more sense!

LeBOF · 02/04/2012 21:31

No, honestly. In one of the flashback scenes an episode or two ago, there was definite zip action implied.

Bue · 02/04/2012 21:47

Well... gosh.

I didn't know that the Guardian does a Homeland blog/recap every week:
www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/tvandradioblog/2012/apr/01/homeland-series-one-episode-seven It's quite good!

foxinsocks · 03/04/2012 06:58

I found myself thinking how nice a cabin by the lake would be, complete with waterfall (and of course DL just lurking in the woods).

Is the whole series 12 episodes? So 5 to go? I get greedy for episodes and wish I could watch double bills like bbc3 does the dramas but I suppose it's good to wait .

I'm still not quite sure of the bit on the roof. Surely you're still miles away from the helicopter and the chances of a clear shot on the president that far away wouldn't be that easy?

foxinsocks · 03/04/2012 06:58

Bbc4 not 3 (of course, duh!)

cybbo · 03/04/2012 09:19

Nah I thought zip action was from Brody's prison guard (one who killed himself) when he's finished beating the shit of him he pee'ed on him. Didnt he?

cronsilksilt · 03/04/2012 09:31

ah yes I remember that bit cyb

cybbo · 03/04/2012 09:54

That Guardian Blog is good- they said they thought the polygraph had been meddled with which was why it didnt show Brody's lie about cheating on his wife- and consequently woudlnt show Sauls' response to handing the razor blade truthfully. But who meddled with it?

OH GOD MY HEAD HURTS
