Is Homeland Great or What?!

Just watched part 2 of Homeland shown on Channel 4 last night.

Fantastic drama with an excellent script, superb acting and lots of twists and turns.

Has he been brainwashed????

Yeah im not too keen on the senator story.Its abit like the Wire when it went all political,booring.

Ok so, Brody has been turned because he loved Nazeer's 'son' and a US drone killed him but he is possibly wavering because he also loves his family?
Walker is practising his sharp shooting so he can assassinate someone, possible the VP aka former head of CIA who denied the drone attack which killed Issa.
Carrie doesn't trust anyone, especially the FBI
Estes is still dodgy
Why was Saul lying down? and how inconvenient that he and Carrie just missed Brody leaving the Saudi diplomats house!
Body's daughter is getting suspicious about turned soldiers just as Jessica has decided to trust/accept him

And I still don't trust Galvez the other CIA man but think it would possible be too much to have an openly muslin officer be the betrayer?

Why was he lying down I didn't get that either.
I really hope Brody turns good I find him so attractive but being a terrorist would totally ruin it for me.
I agree that the guy driving carrie around last night looked dodgy but didn't know he was Muslim has it shown him praying or something?

Yes to Brodie's wife looking a bit like a duck. An attractive duck, but still a duck. They've sort of paused on the whole her fling with his mate storyline, as well - she seems to have gone from missing him badly to being refocused on Brodie very quickly.

I don't think Issa was Nazir's son, but it was all part of the set up.

I have no idea what Brody is doing but WHY didn't Carrie and Saul arrive a little sooner?

If Nazir was making nicey nicey with Brody for all that time, how/who/what was turning Walker?

I thought the agent who said he was muslim was one of the FBI ones not the CIA one who was asked to keep an eye on Carrie a few weeks ago Confused but then I wasn't paying that much attention last night as it was all a bit of a dull episode compared to last week. Is it just me or is it really a patchy series in terms of pace?

Am I alone in being scared that the producers of Homeland will be so busy seeing dollar signs flash in front of their eyes that they spin it out for 5 seasons a la "Lost" and then finish off with a deeply unsatisfactory ending?

The quite attractive young Muslim CIA agent is definitely not bad, it would be way too obvious now that we know he's a Muslim.

I love Saul.

I thought Saul was doing some sort of Alexander Technique. He was breathless which was why Carrie questioned him.

I think that Damien Lewis has already said that he isn't in series 2, but that Carrie is.

My two pennorth: I think that Brody will run for senator. I think that Walker's mission will be to assasinate Brody. Don't ask me why. My thought process hasn't caught up with my speculation yet.

I think that Saul's failure on the lie detector test was a red herring.

Re Saul on the floor....I'm sure he said in an earlier episode that he had a bad back. it looked like he was doing the same exercise that I do when mine's playing up. Smile
