Just watched part 2 of Homeland shown on Channel 4 last night.

Fantastic drama with an excellent script, superb acting and lots of twists and turns.

Has he been brainwashed????

OP posts:

I wouldnt call that a spoiler. It was common knowledge from the start that there would only be two seasons. He's been on plenty of talk shows discussing it. As his wife has, also.

cocolepew · 16/04/2012 19:00

I don't watch them either!

2cats2many · 16/04/2012 19:50

That's not a spoiler!

I used to see Damian Lewis and his wife in a London branch of John Lewis occasionally. He's much dishier in real life than on the telly.

cocolepew · 16/04/2012 19:52

It is!

I could do with Walker and his rifle. There's a bird that sits on my neighbours roof and wakes me up a half four every morning.

BrightnessFalls · 16/04/2012 19:53

He once got served in a pub next to me and our arms brushed....

cocolepew · 16/04/2012 19:54

That means you're married in some countries Shock

TotemPole · 16/04/2012 19:56

It is a bit spoilerish.

Though I have to say I've read a few contradictory 'spoilers'. So I'd take it with a pinch of salt.

BrightnessFalls · 16/04/2012 19:58

How very convenient he came outside and sat at the table next to ours and seemed very jovial. He did have a flat cap on though. I just wanted him to accost me in the toilets.

difficultpickle · 16/04/2012 20:55

I'd be surprised if Brody isn't in series 2. I think it would be much less watchable without him.

thequietone · 16/04/2012 21:44

DH sat right by him on a train recently. DL was travelling with another guy and apparently talked about himself the ENTIRE journey. DH said he was utterly self obsessed!

Yorkshiremother79 · 16/04/2012 23:31

Gosh he gets about a bit. I saw him at Wimbledon a few years ago. He has a certain confidence about him which fights above his station. IMHO.

I don't think he's ageing well either but he is a fab actor

TheEpilator · 17/04/2012 09:36

Wasn't Saul the doctor in Chicago Hope who used to play with trains in his office (with no trousers on). I was a little bit in love with him too Blush

AWimbaWay · 17/04/2012 12:55

Yes he was in Chicago Hope TheEpilator, but I know him best as Huxley in The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland.

AWimbaWay · 17/04/2012 12:57

And of course The Princess Bride!

chicaguapa · 17/04/2012 12:58

I think DL's confidence comes from being educated at Eton.

WhyAlwaysBoris · 17/04/2012 13:07

Just read this whole thread.

Love the poster who thinks his wife is the terrorist!!

I think it is going to come down to Brodie and Walker trying to shoot each other over long distances with their sniper rifles.

cocolepew · 17/04/2012 13:09

I think it will come to them wrestling in jello. Naked.

But that might just be me.

trickydickie · 17/04/2012 13:27

I know it has been asked before and the answer was CO4 or C04? Does anyone know if I can watch all the episodes so far on another channel or the internet?

I think I missed the first 4 of 5 and I am not bright enough to totally follow it all now Blush

So yes I am not sure what CO4 or C04 is. Could someone please tell me and then I can try to catch up on that? Thanks.

ScoopThePoop · 17/04/2012 13:35

Do you think there'll be a showdown in a maze at the end?

MayCanary · 17/04/2012 13:46

Ace series. And Saul for me is Jason Gideon in Criminal Minds. Can't wait for the next season (we might have got a bit carried away and "caught up" via the US episodes).

trickydickie · 17/04/2012 13:48

Just found the website 4oD. So please ignore my post.

Finbar · 17/04/2012 16:25

MayCanary - he'll always be Gideon for me too! Good to see him again - I love his understated approach.
I hate this series for being totally preposterous -but am absolutely drawn into it!!

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 17/04/2012 18:17

Right.

I think Aisha (sp?) isn't really Abu N's son. Abu N 'adopted' him and made Brody teach him to get Brody emotionally attached to the kid.

Abu N then had the school blown up and the kid killed. Then he made Brody watch the American TV broadcast of the vice-president saying (truthfully) that the explosion was nothing to do with the US. He turned Brody by exploiting B's attachment to the kid and making him believe that the US was responsible for the explosion and that the vice-pres was lying and therefore Brody must become a war hero and be pursued by cynical American political operators to run for some kind of office. From the inside he will then assassinate the vice-pres (who is of course now running for president).

His hair and beard had grown again and he looked terrible and terrified because, after the explosion (which was three years ago e.g. five years into his imprisonment), he was put back in the hole, with his agreement, so that he'd have plenty of time to grow his hair and look manky again before the Americans were allowed to find him. This accounts for the final three years of his detainment.

I think Saul is a bad lot, although I don't yet know how/why. I love him a little bit regardless.

Mike may also be a bad lot.

Estes is clueless.

Brody's wife, as someone has said, has one facial expression. She's v v annoying.

Damien L looks like a piranha.

I have a mini girl crush on Claire Danes and her huge eyes, her cheekbones, her lovely slim-fitting suits and her toned upper arms.

ScoopThePoop · 18/04/2012 12:26

LadyClarice I agree with most of what you've posted.
Finding Claire D a bit annoying though.

Tom Walker is an android.

BecomingAMidwife · 18/04/2012 14:09

Blast, sky plus didnt record the last 2 episodes - can some one give a synopsis from the point of Mike being alive and begging at the traffic lights bit. I saw the bit where his son was being interviewed as he said he saw his dad at school

TIA
