I would think it is a carrier from conception too. But of course that would be too straightforward so it may bring some interesting genetic mix to the story.

browneyesblue · 23/03/2012 22:59

It's never straightforward, is it. I can't wait for the next series now.

JKSLtd · 23/03/2012 23:05

Me too.

Avoiding spoilers but wtaf with Andrea???

susiedaisy · 23/03/2012 23:15

Wow great episode god I really thought poor Andrea was going to cop it!!
What's the big compound in the distance?

Looks like a big prison. So what did you think about Rick turning into Shane? The way he described killing him to Lori was positively serial killer ish.

susiedaisy · 23/03/2012 23:26

Yeh he has changed into Shane hasn't he took him long enough, it's survival of the fittest now!

Finally I can discuss it! Been waiting all week.
I think it is a prison. There's a prison in the comic apparently, I haven't read them but DH has and he's said he hopes they do that part. I'd imagine it's secure from zombies... but full of murderers... where would you rather be?

I saw an interview, I think from the link above, and it said that the zombies swarm, but also the swamps surrounding the farm had protected them, but now it's getting colder so the swarms are freezing and the zombies can get through them.
I was chatting with DH and pointed out that humans swarm, if you see someone walking determinedly somewhere people do often follow.

susiedaisy · 23/03/2012 23:39

'I was chatting with DH and pointed out that humans swarm, if you see someone walking determinedly somewhere people do often follow.'

If you look up at the sky or yawn people often do the same Grin

Not posted here before, but love The Walking Dead.

I really enjoyed the last three episodes, but the series leading up to them, especially the first half did drag a bit.

If everyone is infected, why did we see dead bodies around, that hadn't been shot in the head? Slightly confused.

Lastly, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky Carol riding behind Daryl on his motorbike. If it had been me, you would have had to prise me off him!

bilblio · 23/03/2012 23:56

Or queue... particularly British people. We join queues because there's bound to be something interesting at the front :)

Metheven · 24/03/2012 00:01

Do you think British zombies would queue? Wait politely for their turn to chew someones leg off. Then tut if someone pushed in?

Comment from Guardian re preview of WD finale:
"The characters are annoying but I find that more realistic than all pulling together to defeat the enemy as happens in a lot of these situations. Come the Zombie Apocalypse the human race will not die out in glory but through whining, bickering and being generally unhelpful.
I like Daryl though."

Says it all.
I did find it dragged slightly and the forst half of the season was not as good as S1, but the seccond half of S2 been great.
Maybe that says more about me though, with all the killilng and what not! Grin

Melty · 24/03/2012 07:31

Actually you need to read the whole comments section in that Guardian article. Its pretty funny.
Have you been watching Walking Dead

This is also amusing

wintera · 24/03/2012 07:43

On the whole I think the season has been good, but mostly because, like everyone else says, because of the second half of the season. It really stepped up the pace which was much needed. My main gripe with this season is that the characters seems to contradict themselves with every episode. Lori has got to be the worst in this respect, and Herschel. It's like the writers completely forget what happened previously. Maybe this is because they have the graphic novel in the background? That might be why Daryl is such a good character, because he's not in the comics so the writers don't have that hanging over them when they write for him. I don't know but it has been annoying and distracting this season. Hoping for a more fluent and ass kicking season next year. Am also pleased to see a strong female character being introduced too, much needed!

wintera · 24/03/2012 07:51

Melty - those captions are fantastic!

limitedperiodonly · 24/03/2012 08:21

Lori!!!!

'Oh my God! Where's Carl? He was upstairs! He's gone off! Again! Who'd have thunk it? Let's all go and kill ourselves searching for my stupid son! Oh, I've gone right off my husband now!"

BTW the bloke in the hoody leading the armless zombies was great. But how do you make them stop biting and walk to heel?

susiedaisy · 24/03/2012 08:29

How far did the group drive? Does this mean that Andrea is now miles away from group?

OP posts:
aliciaflorrick · 24/03/2012 08:43

I loved the last episode. Agree with everyone else the first half of the season dragged past, but the second half was great.

Lori - I would happily feed as Zombie fodder, even after they're all panicking about zombie herds swarming her and Rick still swan off away by themselves to have a little tete a tete. I'd have my DCs strapped to my sides, and the poor guy in the RV, Rick calls him in to save him and Carl and the poor guy gets eaten.

I think the big building was a prison, I've heard rumours about it for Season 3 and of course that the lovely David Morrisey has been cast as the Governor - for that reason alone I'm watching Season 3.

I'm actually looking forward to Andrea's story - I actually thought the person in the hoodie was a woman for some reason.

limitedperiodonly · 24/03/2012 09:00

A woman, you say? Wonder how she'd be at washing up?

susiedaisy · 24/03/2012 09:14

I thought the hooded figure was a women as well, I also felt sorry for guy in rv that saved rick and Carl the walkers seemed to overrun the rv very quickly,

OP posts:
JKSLtd · 24/03/2012 09:16

Didn't the rv guy open the door?
Would you not just get rick and Carl on the roof then drive off a bit then let them in?

I think they should get on the roof more often, like when they were waiting at the meeting point, just climb up high, stay quiet and wait.

susiedaisy · 24/03/2012 09:16

And I noticed that their reactions to the walkers noise is slow they don't seemed to hear the growls of the walkers or the swishing noises of them walking through the woods and grass, Hmm someone would only have to accidentally clear their throat behind me and I would be trigger happy!

OP posts:
KalSkirata · 24/03/2012 09:45

they do seem to be a bit on the hard of hearing side. Silent field, silent woods and Rick and Carl do not hear several hundred zombies?

KalSkirata · 24/03/2012 09:48

And Carl. FFS discipline that child. He's always wandering off into zombie infested woods.

whathaveiforgottentoday · 24/03/2012 10:30

I couldn't understand why Jimmy in the RV didn't just drive slowly with them on the roof! Why did he leave the drivers seat and had he forgotten to close the door of the RV? Bit crap really.
I'm pleased Andrea survived, at least one good women got throught. Maggie was disappointing as she started so strong at the start of series 2 and has now turned a bit crap.
