BUT am going to miss these monday nights

OTTMummA · 13/02/2012 22:07

Oliver, you can pick up free condoms from health clinics, family planning clinics, it really Isn't hard, if you want to that is. Unfortunately we can't force drug addicts to use contraceptives, I don't see how we can get around that ethically. I suspect this one will get taken off her Aesop, I also suspect she won't stop having babies until she can keep them, or until she physically can't get pregnant.

OTTMummA · 13/02/2012 22:08

Stupid iPhone!

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 13/02/2012 22:08

stranded me neither but I have to agree with you.

For whatever reason she is unable to keep him safe.

That may well be because of terrible things that have happened to her.

But she cant have him back.

My mum was always just honest with me what had happened and what she had been told (which tbh was not much) that I had a full bio sister raised by gran, but grab couldn't care for 2.

I have their names and vague location but I am so happy with my adoptive family I really only think about it when shows like this are on or adoption is relevant I. Mumsnet lol.

I wonder if I look like them...

Kayano · 13/02/2012 22:11

It's a bit hard ATM because I'm due my first baby on Wednesday and I keep saying my god she could look just like my mum/ sister/ gran and I would never know!

I did get the annoying as hell useful info that due to biology I needed anti D injections though so that annoyed me lol

OTTMummA · 13/02/2012 22:12

Lavender, that's so sad, no grandmother would normally feel relieved when hearing their daughters had a miscarriage :( I can understand why you did though.

MariaCallous · 13/02/2012 22:13

Kayano can I offer you a foot spa, tea and a slice of chocolate cake? Dont do hugs.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 13/02/2012 22:14

Aww Kayano your baby is nearly here! Smile

It must bring up all sorts of emotions.
At least we can tell DS how much he looks like his b.mum.
We know lots about that side of the family. Absolutly nothing about the birth father's though.

That man with the 30 year history of child abuse should not be in a position to have access to a child. Time we created a sex offender island.

I get the feeling that the women in each of these programmes would be much better off if they were not with the men. Certainly more so than the other way around.

lisad123 · 13/02/2012 22:23

I liked tonight's. It really shows the range of sw, all the different types of cases you get at any one time.
Sadly have been in a house as bad as that Sad
And thank goodness for grandmother But how many can she take!!

GoingForGoalWeight · 13/02/2012 22:27

Makes one very grateful for the fact our biological parents stood by most of us.

Kayano · 13/02/2012 22:29

And grateful for living adoptive parents who raised us so well

Wine

Cheers mum Grin

Kayano · 13/02/2012 22:30

Loving* stupid phone!

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 13/02/2012 22:30

I think it was a good programe to end with. I am glad the first two concentrated on one family each though. I think that gave a good view of SW. If they had all been spread over several cases I think it would have diluted the impact a bit.

Just went and gave my DS2 a special squeeze. So lucky to have him. My boy.

wannaBe · 13/02/2012 22:35

I loved the way that male sw spoke to the sex offender bloke - it was utter contempt.

I think these people should be sterilised - I don't actually give a stuff about their so-called human rights - they have no consideration for the human rights of the children they bring into the world, addicted to the drugs they take while pregnant and then have to go through withdrawal and then subsequent foster care and adoption, why the hell should society stand for that?

thekidsrule · 13/02/2012 22:37

wannabe, agree

Oodle · 13/02/2012 22:38

I totally agree wannabe but sure many others won't.
