Shiny new OBEM thread!

Am rather looking forward to seeing the home made bikini for the 'relaxing zen' birth...

Both hospitals I've been to in and around birth (didn't make it to hospital for the birth with DS2, but was admitted afterwards) had private rooms, scarlet. Both were fairly new and shiny and one even had private bathrooms.

A girl. You know she's going to dress it in Disney pink princess crap

She must have had some points deducted for her big teeth.

I wonder if they'll call the girl Dorothy, Judy or Barbara?

This guy's a medical miracle: he's still walking around though he has no brain.

My hospital only has private en suite rooms. You labour and stay in there. It was fab.

Scarlet, that's how it was for me - in a room with about 4 other women early on, then into private room for active labour.

This midwife is a bundle of laughs.

Well that's bloody brilliant. If you've had a terrible first birth you're guaranteed a repeat? I will screech at her if she attends my birth in June!

Feel sorry for that woman on her second. I remember that feeling well and moved about a cm every 4 hours!! Its sooo disheartening! :(

Sounds swish ouryve! I imagined a sort of labour conveyor belt!

WTF??? She's an awful midwfe, I can't believe she just said that if they don't cope with the first they won't cope iwth the second. And 'my labours were absolutely awful'. Has she never heard of bedside manner, mind over matter, positive attitude etc etc?? Jesus Christ!!!
