Hooray I've found the thread just in time forthe end.

Disney woman was as amazing as any woman. She was focused and calm but perhaps her labour allowed her to be. You can't know what level of pain another woman might have been experiencing. Her baby was clearly well positioned, her body well equipped to do it. Had her baby been malpositioned or her pelvis not shaped quite right, she might not have managed to remain so calm. Because we are mammals with bodies that respond to what is actually happening. My body couldn't manage dd and every fibre of my body screamed with warning. With pain and adrenalin. I KNEW something was wrong and said it over and over again. I was no less amazing than somebody whose body worked. Most of my pnd/ptsd was tied up in thinking other women judged me for not staying calm and focused and somehow failing.
