I think kerrys midwife is fab, I know harsh and straight speaking was the only way to get through to me in the throes of labour.

Renee is a star

I always have short, very painful and useless contractions.
They fecking hurt and its very disheartening when you only dilate 1cm after 8 hrs of them.

I would find that shouting from the blond midwife really overwhelming. If dh and I have an argument and I start to get angry, I have to walk away, I can't cope with shouting at all and it would really escalate me. I like the calm midwife on the waterbirth. My midwife in St. James (other mat hosp in Leeds) were calm and unobtrusive and I can't fault them really though my birth wasn't exactly what I wanted. I would find the carry on of the blond midwife just awful.
