As all the other threads seem to have died off I thought I'd start a new one in anticipation of this Friday's first live show.

I have to say I'm not too bothered about the Celebs this year, but then again I'm more interested in watching the professionals anyway!

The line up for each of the two shows has been announced (from BBC website):

On Friday 30th September the couples performing for the first time on live television will be:

?Alex
?Anita
?Audley
?Dan
?Lulu
?Robbie
?Russell

Then on Saturday 1st October the couples performing for the first time together will be:

?Chelsee
?Edwina
?Harry
?Holly
?Jason
?Nancy
?Rory

Please note the running order has yet to be confirmed. The celebrities have been listed above in alphabetical order.

They will dance either a Waltz or a Cha Cha Cha, but I'm not 100% sure who is doing what.

My overriding thought in the run up for the series so far has been "I hope the wardrobe department come up with some decent foundations for poor Chelsee!"
That outfit they've put her in for the promo shots makes her boobs look humungous

Anyone else care to share their thoughts in advance?

Darren and Jill's Jive was just heavenly. Swoon.

I know it is super silly and I wouldn't post this anywhere else but I'm feeling really sad about all the Artem/Kara stories in the press. Last year was just magic watching them fall in love - one of the most romantic things I've ever seen plus their dancing was to die for. Now either their relationship is either falling apart which makes me unhealthily sad, or the press is doing their absolutely best to stir and create drama and risks pulling them apart anyway, just for a story. It all just makes me want to go to a darkened room and cry because the world is so horrid and it was all such a fairy tale.

God I must get a grip! I do rather love Artem though. He was fabulous in the pro dance on Sat. That man can DANCE.

That AT is fantastic. Rather soppily, it makes me cry at the end when she does!

It's reminded me too, she had a couple of gorgeous dresses, especially the one for the Viennese waltz.

I was sad to read about Kara and Artem too, hopefully there isn't too much in it.

Series 1 and 2 passed me completely by. Is there anywhere you can watch them? We only discovered it when channel hopping and saw someone dancing.

Fab - you can probably see some of the dances on YouTube if you search under the name of the celeb and which dance (look at Scd page on Wiki for full list) I didn't watch the first series so don't know who was on it.

Denise Lewis's and Jill Halfpenny's dances are all worth watching.
Julian Clary's dances are interesting. Chris Parker's "Batman" dance is beyond belief.

And Carole Vordemann's Rumba brings a new meaning to you must see it, but may need to peep through your fingers.

Oh lovely a strictly thread. Now, I know this won't be boring for you die hard strictly addicts, but I've had no TV or internet for 3 weeks (until yesterday) and I'm behind!! I just watched the week 1 shows on the iplayer but they don't seem to have the results show. Can anyone tell me who went out the first week? I don't want to read the thread too much because I don't want to know who went out on weeks 2 and 3... those shows are all still on the iplayer... lovely weekend ahead of me now catching up on the sofa! Thanks ladies
