As all the other threads seem to have died off I thought I'd start a new one in anticipation of this Friday's first live show.

I have to say I'm not too bothered about the Celebs this year, but then again I'm more interested in watching the professionals anyway!

The line up for each of the two shows has been announced (from BBC website):

On Friday 30th September the couples performing for the first time on live television will be:

?Alex
?Anita
?Audley
?Dan
?Lulu
?Robbie
?Russell

Then on Saturday 1st October the couples performing for the first time together will be:

?Chelsee
?Edwina
?Harry
?Holly
?Jason
?Nancy
?Rory

Please note the running order has yet to be confirmed. The celebrities have been listed above in alphabetical order.

They will dance either a Waltz or a Cha Cha Cha, but I'm not 100% sure who is doing what.

My overriding thought in the run up for the series so far has been "I hope the wardrobe department come up with some decent foundations for poor Chelsee!"
That outfit they've put her in for the promo shots makes her boobs look humungous Shock

Anyone else care to share their thoughts in advance?

She should be reminded.

She stole from Colin.

notyummy · 18/10/2011 22:30

Clay - you should meet my mum. The two of you could mourn together. Grin

ScatterChasse · 18/10/2011 22:51

I thought it was quite clever...

I'd much rather watch that than a lady in a swimsuit being thrown around with her feet hardly touching the ground for three-and-a-half minutes!

Pan · 18/10/2011 22:55

Scatter - I think that sort of thing is available on other channels.....

WhoIsThatMaskedWoman · 18/10/2011 23:53

Oh god....Lisa Snowdon's showdance Envy. Revenge of the oven-ready turkey.

That's not an envy Envy btw, it's the other sort.

PinotScreechio · 19/10/2011 08:23

Heh heh yeah, she was a snail slithering across the floor at Brendan

LetUsPrey · 19/10/2011 10:05

Can we not mention the D word please?

And on the subject of being robbed, have a 10 Matt di Angelo just for making it to the end of the dance and rob Gethin of his place in the final.

Oh yes, and it's Doctor Pamela Stephenson.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 19/10/2011 10:13

Dan didn't do himself any favours on ITT, did he? 'I focused too much on the dancing side of Strictly Come Dancing', 'It's weighted towards people in showbiz' etc. Whinge whinge whinge and sour grapes. He needed to shut the feck up and be a gracious loser.

I will miss Katya but agree, she is better off out of it than having to deal with him and the chip on his shoulder.

Tosser.

PinotScreechio · 19/10/2011 10:16

YY Lups - Matt Di Angelo was a thief! A thief I tells ya.

Anyone remember Carol Vordermans Rumba? It was the cringiest thing ever. I literally wanted to peel my skin off at how creepy it was.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 19/10/2011 10:18

Ohhhhh, do not even mention Twat Di Angelo to me.

PinotScreechio · 19/10/2011 10:22

haha Lady C

LetUsPrey · 19/10/2011 10:24

Hahahahahaha Twat di Angelo! Can't believe I never thought of that before! [hgrin]

CaveMum · 19/10/2011 14:01

Urrgggh, Carol V's Rumba! Thanks for that, I was just eating my lunch!

Let's get off the worst dance topic and go with best dance instead. My vote, Karen and Mark's Argentine Tango. End. Of. Story.

Ooh, my DH voted for Mark (many times Hmm) on the basis of that dance. I came downstairs from feeding DD to sleep to be greeted by the sight of him and his best mate sitting on the sofa both texting because they were so taken by it. They are both alpha male military officers...allegedly.

I have to admit to having a soft spot for Alesha's Viennese Waltz.

PinotScreechio · 19/10/2011 14:11

I agree - that AT was beyond amazing. Their salsa too.

I'd like to throw in Erin & Colin's American Smooth and Erin & Austin's Paso.

To be honest I think Kristina & Jason's tango is up there too, for pure entertainment/scream at the telly moments.

PinotScreechio · 19/10/2011 14:12

And Team Cola's Charleston.

LetUsPrey · 19/10/2011 14:16

Agree with Mark and Karen's Argentine Tango. Was amazing. Karen's AT dress is one of my favourites.

And mostly anything that Zoe and Ian did, especially the tango.

Just watched last night's ITT. Nancy is completely deluded. She didnt expect to be the one to go? You've been bottom of the leaderboard every week!!!

Loved Karen's Choreography Corner.

WhoIsThatMaskedWoman · 19/10/2011 15:27

Alesha's Foxtrot, I think that was the one where Matthew forgot the steps half way round and just whispered "follow me" - I think that's why it was so magical, they forgot all the choreography and just danced.

Pretty sure Craig was a bit choked up at the end.

LetUsPrey · 19/10/2011 15:33

didn't

CaveMum · 19/10/2011 16:00

NotJust - just for you, the Karen & Mark

I loved the way Karen sneaked in a barb at Aliona's choreography in CC last night!

God, and how can I forget, the first ever 40 - Darren & Jill's

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 19/10/2011 16:16

When Zoe and Ian did their tango, in the VT they played beforehand, Erin made a barbed comment about 'some other competitors' ? I forget what she said but the clear implication was that she meant Zoe. Z went out fuming and produced the most savage and beautiful dance. Grin

Also Colin and Erin's rumba was smooth and lyrical and gorgeous. I loved Tom whatsisname's showdance with Camilla as well.
