Strictly Come Dancing 2011

As all the other threads seem to have died off I thought I'd start a new one in anticipation of this Friday's first live show.

I have to say I'm not too bothered about the Celebs this year, but then again I'm more interested in watching the professionals anyway!

The line up for each of the two shows has been announced (from BBC website):

On Friday 30th September the couples performing for the first time on live television will be:

?Anita
?Audley
?Dan
?Lulu
?Robbie
?Russell

Then on Saturday 1st October the couples performing for the first time together will be:

?Chelsee
?Edwina
?Harry
?Holly
?Jason
?Nancy
?Rory

Please note the running order has yet to be confirmed. The celebrities have been listed above in alphabetical order.

They will dance either a Waltz or a Cha Cha Cha, but I'm not 100% sure who is doing what.

My overriding thought in the run up for the series so far has been "I hope the wardrobe department come up with some decent foundations for poor Chelsee!"
That outfit they've put her in for the promo shots makes her boobs look humungous

Anyone else care to share their thoughts in advance?

Did anyone see ITT this evening? LOVED the Pamela Stephenson slot where she analysed the dance partnerships. Wonder what she'd have to say about her relationship with James last year?!

TBH I find Pamela really whiny. I read an interview where she talked about how well she got on with James and how much she adores him before admitting that she hadn't actually spoken to him since the SCD Tour ended and seemed to imply it was all James' fault
The only thing I could think was "well pick up the darn phone and get in tough then! It works both ways"

I'm not a Pamela fan either. Too much botox

What is the deal with Dan & Katya? They realllllllly didn't seem friendly last night.

They did seem really snipey last night! In our house Dan has become known as 'Lobb the Knob'! :o (Can't claim that one, was DHs obsevation!!)

Dan seems a very tricky person to me - constantly needing reassurance. Compare his personality to Audley or Rory for instance - they're much more straightforward and fun. Katya is well out of it.

Glad it's not just me who thought he was like that. A shame.

I thought Erin's dress was be-yoo-tiful! the best she's looked since her American tango way back when with Colin Jackson.

Slated and rightly so. Twas butt-clenchingly awful. I think they'd have won if not for that....

My mum is still traumatised. She loved Colin.....

Every year someone mentions it on here and I have to relive the trauma.

I will NEVER forgive Erin for that, she lost it for Colin.

PS Can't stand Pamela either, think she's a dodgy old letch and I just want to hack her hair off.

She's not as irresistible as she thinks she is.

Arrrrrrrrrgh - that dance! Every year someone links and I find myself compelled to watch and then sob when I see little Colin's face!! HE SHOULD HAVE WON, damnammit!!

Anyways, not a Pamela (I'm 50, don't ya know!) fan but did quite enjoy the look at their body language etc but Russells look at how their starsigns link up is much better - although, funnily enough seems to think they'll all get on

You lot - don't you know that Erin wakes up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat thinking of that dance? Last thing she wants is to be reminded of it on a regular basis. THen again it's inevitable I suppose ....

I think this is why she had her make over - so she could claim to be a different person and in no way responsible for that dance
