Strictly Come Dancing 2011

As all the other threads seem to have died off I thought I'd start a new one in anticipation of this Friday's first live show.

I have to say I'm not too bothered about the Celebs this year, but then again I'm more interested in watching the professionals anyway!

The line up for each of the two shows has been announced (from BBC website):

On Friday 30th September the couples performing for the first time on live television will be:

?Anita
?Audley
?Dan
?Lulu
?Robbie
?Russell

Then on Saturday 1st October the couples performing for the first time together will be:

?Chelsee
?Edwina
?Harry
?Holly
?Jason
?Nancy
?Rory

Please note the running order has yet to be confirmed. The celebrities have been listed above in alphabetical order.

They will dance either a Waltz or a Cha Cha Cha, but I'm not 100% sure who is doing what.

My overriding thought in the run up for the series so far has been "I hope the wardrobe department come up with some decent foundations for poor Chelsee!"
That outfit they've put her in for the promo shots makes her boobs look humungous

Anyone else care to share their thoughts in advance?

It's not even like it is extensions because it is blonde right to the roots one day, but then brown all the way through another day

and what are we thinking about Zoe? Is she as good as our Claud? I like her but I want her be more herself rather than trying so hard to be Claud.

I think Zoe's done well this week and have enjoyed the shows.

Agree with thenightsky though, Claud's are BIG shoes to fill.

Hopefully Zoe will settle into it over the next few weeks.

Did anyone see Lulu on It Takes Two a couple of nights ago? Her dancing looked terrible and she looked so stressed and anxious about it poor thing. I felt really sorry for her. I mean if you can't dance you can't dance! Brenda looked really worried too. Maybe she'll triumph tonight though!

Nancy's salsa looked pretty terrible too. I really admire Anton, he just laughs it all off, he's so funny.

Have always liked Zoe. Loved her v tight leopard print trousers, and v wish I could wear something like that!

I liked the trousers but would have worn them with a longer sloppier top. Didn't think they looked good with a short jumper.

I do like Zoe but her presence reminds me of just how effortlessly eccentric and original Claudia is.

She's had the baby. Isn't doing ITT because she didn't want to leave him every day, but is doing the results show at the weekends. It would be quite weird and meta if she went on ITT as a guest! I hope she does.

Have yet to watch yesterdays ITT, but watched Thursdays this morning. Did anyone else think Jason & Kristina's body language was odd?!

Sat a way apart, she put her hand on his knee for something & he just seemed to slide it off. They just seemed really weird & awkward! Am I reading too much into it?

Hoping I can watch yesterday's ITT before tonight!

...not long now! . Completely missed this thread last week, and will be shoo-ing kids in to bed during live show tonight so will have to catch up later. (Tried watching with the kids last week and it just didn't work for me!)

Just read through the thread... Live show in Cardiff, you say ?! How have I missed this before? Off to investigate (and then probably 'suggest' an idea for a christmas present from DH, if tickets are still available) How exciting!

Tess Daly ruins it for me, she's like a bad drag act, everything is false and over acted.

Apart from that, I love it

Have told DH he will have to put DD to bed as won't be able to pause as it will muck up the Sky+ and I am NOT waiting til later to watch it (want to watch Xfactor & Merlin ) :o

bebeballroom - I thought that about Jason and Kristina too and spotted the hand on knee/removal of hand. Showed it to DH too but I can't decide whether there's an issue or if I'm over-thinking it.

Watching the show later but will be reading the comments as I have no self-control!

Chelsey - bit frantic and clompy - she stomped some of the steps rather than danced them. Lost her balance on some of the spins too. I'd give it a 7.

I'm really not fussed about Chelsee. Judge's seem to like her though so she'll probably be one of those who sticks around for ages under the radar. (Could be wrong)

Is it just me or does Bruce seem even more confused than usual?

am I the only one who mutes Bruce's "spontaneous" chat in between dances

Do they have to keep showing that clip of Edwina waggling her legs in the air?! Puts me right off my satsuma!!
