just seen a trailer with the gorgeous Captain Jack and Gwen. No idea when it will be shown bit I'm so happyyyy. We really thought they'd killed it off with the last series.

Agree it has lost it's quirkiness - but i don't watch many of the big US series (except the mentalist..) so not sure how similar it is to them.

Anyone else love it if they do a Dr Who tie in - and it's 'the silence' behind it all?

Yeah, I get what you're saying, TeaspoonThief, I personally think Eve Myles is very attractive woman, but there's attractive and there is Hollywood goddess-like beautiful like Angelina Jolie et al but as this is supposed to be a glossy American show, well she just doesn't fit. Although I personally think Eve Myles has got a natural, real beauty that is not plastic.

Not sure about amercians being worried about the sex scenes; it said yesterday in the news that TW gay sex scene was being axed in the UK but not in the US.

I loved last week's. Last night's was so boring I lost interest. Am quite sad.

Hope there are proper aliens around at some point, from 'next week's trailer' it looks as if it's just going to be Big Pharma which is the Baddie.

I want things that explode with goo/fire/smoke when they're shot - the nearest so far has been Jack's vomit.

DH pleased to see that it's 'not just me', apparrently, but a constitutional failure in Welsh women generally to shriek out orders in a crisis .

I'm not really enjoying it atm. Apart from the doctor, who is ok, none of the new characters are the least bit likeable, everyone is rude and shouty and I don't care if any of them lives or dies tbh.

I'm persevering, (just watched 3rd episode over here) but its just not keeping my attention. I understand that they have gone over to America for the money but now its just like every other American drama, whereas before the series was really unique. Children of the Earth was amazing and I was expecting the same.

I'm not enjoying it either but will stick with it because of Gwen and Jack. Its not helping that I know the US get it earlier than us, bloody cheek.

Are you telling me that the previous series of Torchwood were better????? DH and I are enjoying this series (especially Gwen and Jack). Why oh why did we not watch Torchwood before? Balls.

I also Love Captain Jack Harkness, he is very beautiful and strong and sexy, but he needs to find his usual dominant self again. It will happen, have faith!

Gwen is great, cringed at the " I am Welsh" line though.

Well, I suppose I am quite enjoying it, but it's really not Torchwood.

It's got the name and Jack and Gwen, but not much else.

BBC cut the sex scene(s) 'for editing reasons' , they've had plenty of complaints about that before this episode was even shown, so I'd laugh hard if anyone found anything to complain about in the minuscule bit they left behind.

I need ALIENS!
