Torchwood is coming back to the BBC!! Such joy!

just seen a trailer with the gorgeous Captain Jack and Gwen. No idea when it will be shown bit I'm so happyyyy. We really thought they'd killed it off with the last series.

Anyone know when it's coming??!!

Ahh rusty you've been spoiled? that is rough! to get so close to transmission - grrrrrrr. some people have no consideration - although arguably that's the problem when the US have it so far in advance of us. i mean, in the grand scheme of things it's not like us having to wait months for a movie to be released this side of the pond, but in the age of the internet even a short delay can make it really bloomin' difficult to avoid spoilers.

i have to say, that's been one of the great things about this thread and many others in the MN Telly Addicts threads compared to other sites - everyone is allowed to voice their opinions and theories, and the people who have seen it in advance are careful not to spoil the rest of us (thanks aitch for being so patient - we've caught up with you at last Grin)

I thought the final bit was obvious.

It was much better than the other episodes but that's not saying much!

Fight was crap, liked Gwen, jack & Oswald much better, liked Rex, hated Esther.

RTD - love you for knowing all the geeks would be pontificating about how the blessing could coexist with the silurians, racnoss etc and tipping us the wink.

also love the torchwoodisms - like gwen thumping gilly and complaining about how much lipstick she was wearning.

saw the twist at the end coming a mile off - as soon as people were in the facilities and the first twist was revealed. but at least it makes sense in terms of the plot!!

it wasn't the high quality of CoE, and it would have been better as a 5 ep series imho, but let's face it if they commission another series i'm likely to tune in again..... Grin

We guessed Rex was going to be immortal but hoped he wasn't because it would be rubbish. Jack has said several times that it's not his blood that makes him immortal, but if he got that wrong are we now to assume that anyone can become immortal if they get a quick blood transfusion from him? Meh.

Big fanny through the earth that had always been there discovered by baddie families due to modern technology - they put Jacks blood at either end and Miracle Day happened - so they made sure they were in control of Earth after that - deciding who lived an died - Jack and Rex (who had a blood transfusion and was full of Jacks blood) sacrificed themselves at either end to make world okay again - due to Gwen's strength to keep going (killing)....and Jack can't make Gwen immortal with his blood as it would kill her now everyone is immortal again....

I think Rex only survived with Jack's blood because he couldn't die at that point (no one could)....
