Torchwood is coming back to the BBC!! Such joy!

just seen a trailer with the gorgeous Captain Jack and Gwen. No idea when it will be shown bit I'm so happyyyy. We really thought they'd killed it off with the last series.

Anyone know when it's coming??!!

agree. i love RTD. for all the criticism it is possible to lay at his door, he is a real believer with a big throbbing brain and a keen sense of camp. that's my kinda man.

I liked the sex scenes. And ratty. I have no idea where it's going, but it's entertaining (vaguely anyway).

Doctor who was also enjoyable but I'm still not sure what I think.

dp and I both said to each other at same point 'Captain Jack time traveler?' so thanks for clearing that up... sort of....
RTD cannot be blamed for the workings of American tv. As soon as I heard he was off to H'Wood it was inevitable that this would be the result and I was very cross and sad because I knew he would no longer shine as he did when working here.
If he does do a Writer's tale follow up, I agree, all will be revealed. I don't know if he has made any comments about this series but it would be interesting to know what he feels about it.

I will watch to the end now. There are enough - actually not true - not nearly enough let's say just about sufficient enough glimpses of the TW we know and love. At least RTD got his way with those bits Grin

I love RTD's unashamed fanboy attitude to DW - in The Writer's Tale he was delighted to discover that David Troughton (Patrick's son) had been in the 50th story of Classic DW (The War Games) and was going to be in the 50th story of the new series (Midnight) In the event, the running order was changed and Midnight was moved, but it was still the 50th to be filmed....
