oh you poor chickens... it only gets good in the final two eps, and even then it's not good in and of itself it's just that you start to see what the whole thing has been about and it is knicker-wettingly HILARIOUS.
you are already identifying things that should be significant but much to all our surprise will never, ever be fucking mentioned again. but yes it is worth watching, only because the final doohickie is so ridiculous that you will kinda want to have seen it. iykwim?

Aitch are you saying it doesn't even redeem itself at the end?! I am so surprised that RTD and Jane Espenson have written something so bad. There are flashes of brilliance but as everyone else has said, there is just far too much filler. Such a shame.

no more gore that i can think of, just one luuuuuuuuuudicrous semi-orgasmic scene involving a lot of blood in the final ep. if mine and dh's reaction to that is anything to go by you will be crying with laughter, however, so it's no biggie.

do you know what, it IS worth watching, i think, if only to say that you did it. like, ya know, climbing Everest or woteva, because it is there.

and gwen does get and EXCELLENT and very MN-friendly line in the last episode.

Last night's episode could have been 10 minutes long for all the plot movement we saw. What a waste of time.

DH and I were shouting 'GET ON WITH IT' through that awful seduction scene. You're right Aitch, it was EXCRUCIATING.

And I thought the seduction scene was both realistic and rather sweet. (remembers being young in the early days of Section 28...)

Though I expect it'll be like Lost and create zillions of loose ends that never get tied up at all.

I find it hard enough following such a long storyline, without it being so jumpy and not really that much going on

I did like the Rhys's rescue though, but am surprised and slightly relieved it didn't get dragged out more.
