I JUST WATCHED EP 8 OF DR WHO.

Have been away so just caught up with this, though I don't know why I bothered. Talk about tedious. The video camera was ridiculous, I do believe they make them a lot smaller than that monstrosity now, much easier to smuggle! Anyway, video camera??? Why would you carry all your evidence around with you so that everything depends on you escaping the high-security concentration camp, when you could get it out immediately on a camera phone, email it, put it on the internet or twitter or something(I'm not technical but Torchwood is supposed to be).
And Esther was beyond annoying. She blundered on, missing any sort of clue that she might be dropping herself in it, then after she overpowered the baddie she stood there blubbing while her friend and colleague was tied up. You just wouldn't would you? No matter how scared you were your first thought would be to find something to help get them free. Oh and please please please, just for once, when someone overpowers some evil person who cannot die could they tie them up before they come round? Just to humour me? (And yes, I too thought the unnecessarily spiky-heeled boots were going to come in useful for a minute there, a quick kick in the face perhaps, but no, they are just there to make her walk funny).
Phew! Feel better for getting that off my chest!

Absolutely Pixel! Throughout that whole sequence I thought I had strayed on to an obscure cable channel and was watching some low budget American action series that I would normally not stop for. I kept thinking 'why am I watching this?'
Then Captain Jack slapped a cute boy's bottom and all was well again

I thought that was definitely a better episode, probably because it was written by Jane Espenson, possibly also because it was more Jack & Gwen & less Esther...
