What do you think of this? And when does it start? Could you stand the wait over the summer, or is it a godsend?

Counting down...

KayHarker · 23/04/2011 16:32

Dh is stripping wallpaper off behind the telly which is unplugged. I am giving him serious evils if it's not done and sorted by 5:30 at the latest...

JackieNo · 23/04/2011 16:36

OMG Kay - what if he breaks the telly, knocks it over or something Shock.

HarrietJones · 23/04/2011 16:50

Dh is under instructions tea mist be done by dr who

Arcadie · 23/04/2011 17:40

Bookmarking and squeaking with excitement!

Wilts · 23/04/2011 17:48

Ten minutes to go- can't wait!

mumatron · 23/04/2011 18:40

ooh, it's quite scary! not very often I get jumpy at Dr Who.

HarrietJones · 23/04/2011 18:59

Anyone else watch the SJ tribute? Think it's the first time a 'celeb' dying has made me cry. It was v fitting & v well done especially as it was aimed at CBBC audience

Hassled · 23/04/2011 19:05

The Sarah Jane tribute made me well up as well - but I thought it was beautifully done. Whoever that man was (I didn't catch it - a CBBC man) who said about celebrating what she achieved and what a life she had is a star - perfectly pitched for children.

HarrietJones · 23/04/2011 19:14

Barney Harwood? Mr CBBC!

JackieNo · 23/04/2011 20:08

Is everyone too shellshocked to post? I am, a bit. How on earth do they get out of that - how can Matt Smith regenerate, and then become Matt Smith again when it's time for him to die? Are they killing off Doctor Who (the series) as well as Doctor Who the character? Surely not?

HarrietJones · 23/04/2011 20:12

Time can be rewritten ....

coastgirl · 23/04/2011 20:14

I am working on a theory about River Song being Amy's daughter...

MrsDmitriTippensKrushnic · 23/04/2011 20:18

I loved it, I loved it so much. DS1(13) tried to brave it out but kept wandering behind the curtains in a nonchalant teenage fashion; DD(7) sat next to DH with her face in her hands, occasionally peeping out between her fingers; DS2 (10) just sat absolutely rapt. Brilliant.

Must say though, fastest bloody 45 minutes I've sat through in a long time. Was there some sort of timey-wimey messing about there? Is it next Saturday yet?

MrsDmitriTippensKrushnic · 23/04/2011 20:21

Forgot about Amy's pregnancy. If she was get stomach pains because of it (weird alien effect or whatever) and River also got stomach pains does that means she's pregnant too? None of the boys did...

Ripeberry · 23/04/2011 20:21

But WOW! What a way to start off the new series Grin
Brings back memories of me and DH's road trip from Las Vegas to Los Angeles almost 17yrs ago.

The view of Monument valley in the distance is magnificent and the red dust gets everywhere!

Yes, River getting stomach pains/feeling sick too was strange - DH and DD were speculating that it was something to do with the alien, but I wasn't so sure.

Madsometimes · 23/04/2011 20:38

DW is the only program that we sit down and watch as a family and tonight did not disappoint. Dd1 said that it was too scary and she's not watching next week. I doubt that will happen, she and her best friend are total fans.

HarrietJones · 23/04/2011 20:46

Coastgirl- that's one of my ideas too.

Loved 'the legs, the nose & mrs robinson'

TurtlesAreRetroRight · 23/04/2011 20:59

And 'I'm a screamer... spoilers'.

I like River Song an awful lot.

b1uebells · 23/04/2011 20:59

Hmm not sure where they are going to take the pregnancy storyline. Amy is my all time favourite assistant so Hoping that is not how she'll be written out!!

huffythethreadslayer · 23/04/2011 21:03

marking place

LadyCornyOfSilk · 23/04/2011 21:06

but River Song felt sick as well...

edam · 23/04/2011 21:08

Loved it (yes, the screamers line was great) but need to sit down and watch it all over again to take it in properly. It is so fab I always gobble it up and need a second calmer session to really understand it.

Was wondering about both Amy and River feeling sick - assumed it was to do with the alien so was genuinely surprised when Amy said she was pregnant.

GrownUpNow · 23/04/2011 21:13

What a cracker of a way to start the series!
