have not worked much out BUT Paul M/top police cheese must be the child of the woman in opening credits and presumably the bloke in the cells who was beaten up/killed (?) by the 3 coppers (including Heath who got shot). Age fits (22 in 1982) and he was born in Soho. So did he (age 9?) shoot Heath for killing his dad?
