I love those carts, they are beutiful

twirlymum · 15/02/2011 21:25

How is he going to survive without his wife to feed him?

lisad123isasnuttyasaboxoffrogs · 15/02/2011 21:27

why lie to the ladies who are coming to dress the bride!

twirlymum · 15/02/2011 21:27

A pub near me lost it's license last summer, as it was overrun with travellers who let their horses run through the bar Shock.
They were racing up and down the road and caused a lot of damage to parked cars.

SpeedyMackechnie · 15/02/2011 21:27

Reality Check

How do they afford such extravagance?
(Brand new cars etc)

In my job as a Trading Standards Officer we spend countless hours picking up the pieces of the devastation caused by travellers; elderly people driven to banks, verbal and physical threats, theft and lies. For all the liberals bleating about racism, the travellers now exploit and abuse the East Europeans who are the ones who live in the crappy caravans and do most of the work. Sorry but it's true.

Should have been named 'My big fat gypsy propaganda wedding'

why the long face? boom boom

lisad123isasnuttyasaboxoffrogs · 15/02/2011 21:28

I would tell her to bloodly dress herself!

CaveMum · 15/02/2011 21:28

She should demand that the family pay her wasted travel costs at the very least.

noeyedear · 15/02/2011 21:29

Does sound a bit stupid to lie about the date of your wedding. If you want to be that secretive, dress yourself, don't expect people to travel from Liverpool on the ferry to do it! It sounds like the dressmakers were used to it happening though, so I suppose more fool them for agreeing to it!

twirlymum · 15/02/2011 21:29

Someone started a thread last week asking how they afforded it all, but it got pulled. Was an interesting discussion though.

FanjolinaJolie · 15/02/2011 21:33

underskirts are hired

CaveMum · 15/02/2011 21:33

£2,000 just for underskirts??!!

lisad123isasnuttyasaboxoffrogs · 15/02/2011 21:33

You go bride dress maker!!

twirlymum · 15/02/2011 21:33

Oh, they hire the underskirts out! £100 a day!!!!

EricNorthmansMistress · 15/02/2011 21:34

I see, she needs the underskirts for someone else's wedding? I still don't understand why they lied!

lisad123isasnuttyasaboxoffrogs · 15/02/2011 21:34

under skirts are hired at £100 a day, so Im guessing she have other brides that need them

FanjolinaJolie · 15/02/2011 21:35

I wonder if other components of the dresses are hired too and perhaps just customise parts of it?

sheeplikessleep · 15/02/2011 21:35

they lied cos if they get 'found out', venues often cancel.

Their accents are so strong considering they live in the UK

noeyedear · 15/02/2011 21:36

Lying to the venue, yes, but why lie to the dressmaker? She knows they are travellers!

EightiesChick · 15/02/2011 21:36

I think Violet was getting revenge by getting 'lost' and showing up 2 hours late. Hope so anyway.

lisad123isasnuttyasaboxoffrogs · 15/02/2011 21:36

we have loads of travellers in our area (the fighting that happened last week isnt far from here) and you can spy them a mile off tbh.
Only thing that used to get on my wick was when they didnt turn up to nursery loads and another child needed space. :(
