Gah, did I miss a car birth already? It's only 9:07!

expatinscotland · 24/01/2011 21:07

That's exactly how I had DD2, being helped up on the trolley like that, midwives helping me get my clothes off, gave birth on fours like that.

Had only an anterior lip in the road on arrival.

Midwife moved it out the road and she was born about 20 minutes after arrival.

BellaMagnificat · 24/01/2011 21:07

Leave Swindon. Obviously helps conception.

bupcakesandcunting · 24/01/2011 21:07

Oh God I thought that first baby hadn't made it. My heart was in my mouth (even though I don't think they'd show it if it were the case, it still shook me up)

tigerbear · 24/01/2011 21:08

Me too, little tearful there when that baby didn't move or cry for a while!

whomovedmychocolate · 24/01/2011 21:08

Blimey Expat. I'd have felt a bit short changed. I hope they gave you extra toast at least since you did a short stay! Grin

petitdonkey · 24/01/2011 21:08

Is he going to wind us all up??

Shallishanti · 24/01/2011 21:08

yeah I was holding my breath (like that would help)

DirtyMartini · 24/01/2011 21:08

Dammit, sounds like I missed a really interesting bit.

onwardsandupwardsnow · 24/01/2011 21:09

petitdonkey · 24/01/2011 21:09

I love that teapot!

whomovedmychocolate · 24/01/2011 21:09

Doesn't help the rest of the population though Bella - once the swindon genes hit the uk pool Grin

MrsChemist · 24/01/2011 21:09

That is the biggest tea pot ever!

RespectTheDoughnut · 24/01/2011 21:10

Yeah, I was so scared for that first baby! DS was practically born screaming, but the thought of the long silence terrifies me.

wonderstuff · 24/01/2011 21:10

I never thought in all my life I would ever leave Swindon - ROFL Smile

expatinscotland · 24/01/2011 21:10

He had cord round his neck. It's scary.

DS did that. He started to decelerate so they did ventouse and there was the doc's right hand pulling cord off.

Paeds were there and just took him off to one of those warming things.

ReshapeWhileDamp · 24/01/2011 21:10

Does anyone else wonder how an impoverished NHS trust (presumably) can afford that stonking huge Emma Bridggewater teapot? Grin

on the trolley

petitdonkey · 24/01/2011 21:10

Agh, he's lovely!

DirtyMartini · 24/01/2011 21:10

Was just going to post that I hate those teapots [bgrin]

Shallishanti · 24/01/2011 21:11

FanjolinaJolie · 24/01/2011 21:11

Right, he didn't take long to start being annoying.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 24/01/2011 21:11

I was holding my breath for the car birth. Poor mother looked shell shocked.

BellaMagnificat · 24/01/2011 21:11
