Aww bless her.

BellaMagnificat · 24/01/2011 21:25

Aww I really heart him now and take back what I said :(

emmanana · 24/01/2011 21:25

bpool lady had episiotomy and vntouse last time

hollyoaks · 24/01/2011 21:26

episiotomy and ventouse I think.

expatinscotland · 24/01/2011 21:26

'I am wondering what happened to her last time. Sounds like it left its mark'

She felt like she wasn't treated well in her last birth. She was sent home and sent home and she didn't want to be.

I'm really glad she has two such supportive partners to speak up for her and fight her corner.

PrincessBoo · 24/01/2011 21:26

oh poor thing.

tigerbear · 24/01/2011 21:26

Oh shit, my first baby is due in May - I hate watching them do the internal!!! Ooohhhh! The thought of that is even worse than pushing the baby out!

ohmeohmy · 24/01/2011 21:26

good reason not to have VE

MrsPennySworth · 24/01/2011 21:26

That horrible feeling of realising you're not as far along as you thought you were and feeling like you can't go on anymore Sad ... I know it well!

MrsChemist · 24/01/2011 21:26

I think she had a ventouse, and I can sort of relate, because I nearly had one with DS and there were all these people in the room, and I hadn't got a clue what was going on. It was quite unsettling.

I can understand why she would want to avoid that in subsequent pregnancies.

petitdonkey · 24/01/2011 21:26

DD didn't cry at all but she was delivered straight to me (I was on my side, home birth) and I could see that she was breathing and blinking. It was magical- no crying isn't always bad. (her first cry was at about five hours old!)

Shallishanti · 24/01/2011 21:26

oh dear, only 4cm Sad but partner being great

FanjolinaJolie · 24/01/2011 21:27

My internals were all fine, honestly. Not pleasant but OK.

Hopelesslydisorganised · 24/01/2011 21:27

What lovely supportive birth partners. And YES "failure is not a word to be used with childbirth" Well said!

HermyaLovesLysander · 24/01/2011 21:28

Have they sent her home at 4cm? I thought that was established labour?

DirtyMartini · 24/01/2011 21:28

Thank you - I keep getting called away to soothe DD.

Poor thing. I got sent home twice with DS and because we didn't want to get sent home AGAIN, we stayed home too long and I ended up so exhausted that despite getting to 8.5 cm on my own at home, I ended up with an EMCS.

hollyoaks · 24/01/2011 21:28

I didn't think they'd send you home at 4cm!

expatinscotland · 24/01/2011 21:28

I hate to say it, but I think this lady Donna would have done better with a homebirth so a midwife could stay with her.

She has confidence issues.

MumInBeds · 24/01/2011 21:28

They sent her home at 4cm with contractions? I guess things have changed.

NonnoMum · 24/01/2011 21:29

I thought 4cm meant that you were in established labour???

MrsPennySworth · 24/01/2011 21:29

I don't think internals were that bad compared to contractions! (although not exactly pleasant!) Confused

Shallishanti · 24/01/2011 21:29

she's going home in her dressing gown?

hollyoaks · 24/01/2011 21:29

I was 4cm when I arrived at hospital with dd2 and she was born 3 hours later!

expatinscotland · 24/01/2011 21:29

4cm with a second baby, too.

mynameis · 24/01/2011 21:29

Shocking 4cm, second baby and sent home!
