Hmm I think Mrs Maxwell may be heading for problems...

noeyedear · 17/01/2011 21:43

I had a Papa Johns pizza when I was labouring at home- I soon saw it again- haven't been able to eat them since so I've been eating not so good pizza's for the last 3 years!

KangarooCaught · 17/01/2011 21:43

Dh was fascinated with no 2 cos I was epiduralled up & couldn't feel a thing.

lostinwales · 17/01/2011 21:43

Am I alone in being annoyed by the man who 'decided' he wanted to have a baby and only told her when they got married. She had no input in the decision, she is being 'allowed' to have a baby (or have I spent to long reading feminism threads?)

Rindercella · 17/01/2011 21:43

Why are all these women on their backs?

Get up ffs and move

ThatVikRinA22 · 17/01/2011 21:43

i learnt not to eat after the first one....!Grin
my labours were lovely, just hated the 9 months before!

QueeferSutherland · 17/01/2011 21:43

Oh, yeah DH didn't believe I was having cx 'till I showed him the bloody CTG print out.Angry

practicallyimperfect · 17/01/2011 21:43

I never got offered any food in labour.

Rindercella · 17/01/2011 21:43

At last...

juneybean · 17/01/2011 21:44

No one gave her a shepherds pie, now she's got no strength!

StartingAfresh · 17/01/2011 21:44

Get UP, - Get OFF the bed.

Your heading for an instrumental.......

HermyaLovesLysander · 17/01/2011 21:44

I ate my way through a bar of Galaxy in my labour (haven't touched the stuff since though).

AtYourCervix · 17/01/2011 21:44

yup. once again a woman left alone when she needs someone to encourage and advise her. AGAIN!!!

where's the chuffing midwife?

gallicgirl · 17/01/2011 21:44

Suppose it gets a bit boring for the bloke if it's a long labour but it's a question of how involved the partner gets. Some of them don't seem a lot of use but maybe the woman prefers that.

KangarooCaught · 17/01/2011 21:44

they're on their own a lot

darleneconnor · 17/01/2011 21:45

the reason behind the 'no eating rule' was that in the 1950s c-sections were done under GA, which carries a risk of chocking if you've eaten

unfortunately a lot of hospitals havent updated their policies eb=ven though now the vast majority of EMCS's are done under epidural/spinal

Alambil · 17/01/2011 21:45

yes! i am... Lydia's just had her baby

wonderstuff · 17/01/2011 21:45

No lostinwales you are not alone in being annoyed, I wouldn't want that sort of relationship.
