I didn't eat anything, and by the end, DH had eaten my 10 pack of mini Mars bars! Don't fancy that though, and I'm in the middle of a 12 hour fast!

darleneconnor · 17/01/2011 21:39

not allowing women to eat in labour is something that causes problems because the woman runs out of energy

expatinscotland · 17/01/2011 21:39

He's a twonk. Another twonk.

Bring back Ralph! :o

Mrsmackie · 17/01/2011 21:39

that plate of food reminds me of the mushroom stroganoff that I attempted to eat during labour!

wonderstuff · 17/01/2011 21:39

Seems to be a lot of lying on your back in labour in Southampton Hmm

juneybean · 17/01/2011 21:40

I don't know why I thought you didn't eat, I guess on telly they always give you ice chips LOL and in the event of a section.

AtYourCervix · 17/01/2011 21:40

can't expect to work hard on an empty stomach.

BitOfFun · 17/01/2011 21:40

Little snacks though, darlene- having to digest all that while your body is busy doing something else can't be wise.

noeyedear · 17/01/2011 21:41

I thought she must have been induced? Was she not 12 days overdue?

I don't want to do this again.Sad

PigTail · 17/01/2011 21:41

Actually, I'm feeling very Envy watching this. My experience of labour in hospital was so horrid, no jolly, helpful midwives. Sad

But I did have a lovely home birth, so I can't complain about thatSmile

Alambil · 17/01/2011 21:41

did Lydia's sister just puke?

Rindercella · 17/01/2011 21:41

Expat has it Grin

My waterbirth was like that Actually, I remember it was very, very quick with lots & lots of thrashing about splashing and lots of screaming (all from me) Blush Oh, and I was about twice the size of Lydia too! Wouldn't have had it any other way though Grin

rosieposey · 17/01/2011 21:41

I was thinking the same thing Giraffes, 6 days post conception is a bit early to find out isnt it? Maybe it was a Christmas baby!

AttillaTheMum · 17/01/2011 21:41

wonderstuff · 17/01/2011 21:41

QueeferSutherland · 17/01/2011 21:42

My DH played keepy-uppy with the birthing ball while I was being induced.Hmm

KenDoddsDadsDog · 17/01/2011 21:42

I wasn't allowed to eat when I was induced. I was gutted as brought lots of nice snacks and DH ate them all. I was so weak by the end though.

Alambil · 17/01/2011 21:42

in fact, I think lydia's sister is never going to have a baby! she looks horrified!
