I’m getting my forearm blacked out tomorrow!

That’s it really! It’s currently a jumbled mess of a snake/ roses/ leaves but there’s no colour so it’s hard to distinguish what’s going on and I’ve never really liked it so I’m getting the whole arm between elbow and hand blacked out.

never had black out before, has anyone else? Seen it on other people (mostly cool guys in bands tho 😂)

The reason the blackout is a stupid idea is that OP is using it as a cover up for the tattoos she once equally wanted, but now regrets. You can't erase blackout easily with laser and clearly OP has a history of changing her mind 🙄

Sounds like a fab idea to me and also the option of getting a white design on top in time.

I’m not a massive tattoo fan tbh and had never heard of a black out and thought it sounded awful. Having googled some images though there’s some really striking ones! Certainly looks better than a mish mash of little ones.

do people worry about the effects of the ink on the rest of the body? I’m certainly not against tattoos in general some are beautiful but the inks are carried off into the lymph nodes and liver and some inks are carcinogenic.
I worry people will end up with chronic ill health later down the line having these big pigment dense tatoos 🙁

They all seem to end up navy blue and smudged anyway. But hope you like it OP.

Looking forward to the after photo. 4 hours seems a short time, just I guess only 1 colour and can use a thicker needle.

Good luck I had a three hour session a couple of months ago for colour on my thigh.

I think it'll look cool, I'm guessing OP doesn't have a 'conventional' sense of style so while it might look 'stupid' on some posters here, it won't on her.

It's no more bizarre than my mates tattoo of Wally from Where's Wally behind his ear, or someone's Polynesian facial tattoos. It's all about preference.

Those aren’t mine. But they are beautiful. Tattoos are out for me. My skin scars very badly and has too many marks on it as is.

i would have liked something like this back in the day. My mam wouldn’t manage seeing them. Maybe when I’m 99 ☺️
