I’m getting my forearm blacked out tomorrow!

That’s it really! It’s currently a jumbled mess of a snake/ roses/ leaves but there’s no colour so it’s hard to distinguish what’s going on and I’ve never really liked it so I’m getting the whole arm between elbow and hand blacked out.

never had black out before, has anyone else? Seen it on other people (mostly cool guys in bands tho 😂)

’assume they must be cutting themselves’ and so what? A lot of people use tattoos as a way to mask their scars, it’s a way of moving on from what was most likely a traumatic and difficult time in their life - some people don’t and just like how it looks aesthetically. What’s it to you anyway?

Wanted to like it but definitely didn’t. Who cares though hey if you like it that’s all that matters. Plus I don’t get the old age tatt argument. Who cares when you’re 90? A life wel lived and all that and it was clearly great at the time.

Well I just think it looks really rough and trashy that’s all, no offense.

I think a lot of tatts are a bit chav and rough anyway as well as kind of ugly on women, but whole blackout is just taking it even further and I would assume that either self harming scars or some fascinating offensive or insane tatto was being covered by it

But that’s just me, it’s fine if you’re a tatt person. To each their own.

Well, you're going to get a range of opinions on here from "revolting" to "love it" but it's your body, your choice. Personally I don't like most of those neck tattoos but don't mind a sleeve.

Are the comments about how you'll feel at 90 about fading, slippage, wrinkles spoiling the effect? My elderly neighbour had tatts from his youth and they'd kind of blurred and become misshapen in old age but that doesn't apply to black out work anyway.

I mean this is the tattoo section of the forum….so it’s kind of like not liking or owning dogs but going onto that section and telling people such. It’s just dumb but you do you.

I just can't understand why someone would do that to themselves . No artwork there just ugly ink .

Well I didn’t realise it was, I didn’t read the section title so I apologise. Tatts are a personal thing I guess. For me it’s a bit ugly and freak show but for another it might be freaky and alternative or metal idk. Different strokes
