I’m getting my forearm blacked out tomorrow!

That’s it really! It’s currently a jumbled mess of a snake/ roses/ leaves but there’s no colour so it’s hard to distinguish what’s going on and I’ve never really liked it so I’m getting the whole arm between elbow and hand blacked out.

never had black out before, has anyone else? Seen it on other people (mostly cool guys in bands tho 😂)

How's it feeling 24 hours later?

The skin is feeling tight (keeping it moistened with tattoo balm).

Also if I lower it to hip height the blood rushes down and it throbs 😄but it’s doing well.

Im at my mums house (she hates tattoos) and she hasn’t noticed yet. Either that or she’s purposely not mentioning it 😆

My mum didn't notice my first tatt (done at 16 😬) for about 6 years. was at a family bbq in a very strappy low backed top and id actually forgot she didn't know I had one. I dont know who was more surprised when she finally saw it 🤣

It's my dad that hates tattoos. He never mentions mine either. I don't think he sees them.

How's it healing op?

It’s doing really well thanks! I’ve added 2 pics - taken today so 9 days since having it done. It’s itchy! Aloe Vera cream is really helping though.

You must be really pleased with the results. Do you think it's going to need much filling in after it's healed? The part around the skull looks really solid. I just can't imagine how it must physically feel being itchy knowing you can't scratch it.

There’s still a chunk to do near the elbow (ouch!)

I keep waking myself up at night scratching it 😑

I love it and can’t wait for it to be fully done and healed.

Awesome! I love a good blastover! I have a fresh one - I swear by Dermalize but heavy ink tattoos can make an awful lot of blood/plasma/discharge etc.

Currently planning my next sleeve even though my current one is still not quite finished

How is the healing now @desperatehousewife21 ?

When I had my forearm blacked out, it only stopped leaking when I left it uncovered, which was a good three to four days after the tattoo. Before then it was leaking lymph like a tap, it was so alarming! I never faff about with healing now - a tiny bit of my usual emollient (Aveeno) if the skin is uncomfortably tight, but that's it.

It’s completely healed now. I’m getting it finished next Saturday which will be so good to have it finally done.

I don’t overdo the healing process either, the body is an amazing thing and knows what to do. A bit of aloe Vera cream when it’s dry but thats about it.

My last one has healed beautifully. I sometimes think doing less is better for healing, ie jyst keeping it clean and with a dab of moisturiser, and lots of fresh air!
