Is the tattoo really that bad?

Got my first tattoo a few months back and was really pleased with it. Just posted it on reddit (first mistake I know) and everyone's saying it's awful

I reckon that "water" is supposed to be fire. Blue fire. Water/coral makes no sense.

I find the subject pretty baffling. I also thought it was a purple dinosaur...

If you like it that's the important thing. Tattoos are very personal.

If you like it, that’s all that matters. You said you were pleased with it until you posted on Reddit. It’s probably made you feel different towards the tattoo because of that.

You’ve asked for opinions, I’m not a fan of the tattoo. I don’t see why you couldn’t go to another artist and get them to “fix” it up a bit. BUT if you like it as it is, then keep it that way!

If you don't like tattoos, why come to the tattoos board?

Don't even notice which board. I just look at active threads.

Just image searched single line tattoos 😍😍 some amazingly beautiful designs. Thanks to this thread looks like this old woman is getting her first tattoo 😂

It’s not a very good tattoo I’m sorry. I’m covered in them myself. I had a bad one done and had to get it redone at another shop and it’s fine now. I’d look at having a coverup or restyled x

Is it a snake or a purple Godzilla head? And what's with the water?

I dunno, I don't see what a skull, a snake/lizard and a splash have to do with each other, really and the proportions/angles seem a bit off.

Maybe go to a really good tattooist and ask their opinion about it and what can be done/added around it to improve it.

It doesn't matter if you like it, tattoos are subjective. Very personal taste.
I don't think it's particularly well done, no. But I have several that I'm sure lots of people wouldn't like, but I don't care - I like them.

Personally I don't like it, but it shouldn't matter what people think. If you love it, then love it, no matter what. Art is very subjective.
