Page 11 | Is the tattoo really that bad?

Got my first tattoo a few months back and was really pleased with it. Just posted it on reddit (first mistake I know) and everyone's saying it's awful

It’s absolutely awful.

I’m not sure if it’s the colours that are clashing or because the outline’s aren’t sharp enough but it really isn’t nice.

Obviously it’s not my arm, so as long as you like it then that’s great. It just looks like it was done at a cheap rate and the person doing it didn’t really care. I think a few more hundred pounds and the execution could have been so much more better.

I’m another who thought it was a dinosaur until I read the comments

This thread shows how nasty a lot of posters are. Even if you don't like the tattoo there is no need to be so snide and mean about it. It's not exactly difficult to say you don't like it without being brutal about it. I think some people must lead very sad lives if this is how they get their kicks.

For some reason, I particularly dislike the ones that say "It looks like 12 kinds of shit but if you like it that's what matters."

If you want to be rude, just be rude. Don't tack some worthless, insincere platitude on at the end to pretend you're being nice. That just makes it worse.

OP, if you liked your tattoo before, don't let other people's opinions of it colour your pleasure in it. 🙂

I like tattoos and would probably have had one or two if I wasn't such a wuss about pain. 😁 The imagery/style of yours aren't to my personal taste, but nor would I think 'OMG what an awful tattoo!' if I passed you in the street - I'd just think it wasn't to my taste. And really tattoos are such a personal thing that it's not worth getting hung up on what others think, IMO.

At first glance I thought it was some badly drawn dinosaur on top of the skull.

The 'artist' who did this does not have a great deal of talent you need to find someone who can do a decent job.

I love tattoos, I have tattoos but I really don't rate that one.

Maybe try to find someone who can freehand & has a portfolio to show you as they may be able to improve what you already have because right now it looks a bit toony.
