Great minds hf!

Never been to Chewton Glen...but looks fab!

Whereabouts are you hf?

Oh, St Davids nice too in Cardiff Bay...

Conrad in London fab too! Or was...

DH stayed there once when Take That were in and it was utter mayhem!

traceybath · 09/06/2010 21:32

Never been to Tresanton but its always on my list of places to go.

HF - are you london based or south west?

DolceeBanana · 09/06/2010 21:34

TB you are v close - if you feel like a meet up during the hols give me a shout! Ours similar ages...almost 4, almost 3 and 8 months!

DD1 starting ballet on Friday! Bless.....

reallygrumpy · 09/06/2010 21:35

MM was just looking online for a dress for my brother's wedding and wondered if this would be any good? I love the colour but I'm too pasty to carry it off...

LTEC - your feet are in proportion, not big and the Chloe boots are amazing!

Dolcee - congrats on your anniversary 15 years! With your house-hunting, have you tried leafleting streets / areas that you like? 2 friends of mine have recently bought house that way, they leafleted streets they wanted to buy on just with a flyer saying that they're a family looking to buy in the area and not in a chain and giving contact nos for anyone interested in discussing a private sale. That was in West London though where it's insanely competitive to buy a family home in the catchment area for a good primary school. We managed in the end but it definitely gave me a few more grey hairs

And on a retail note, I'm still after a new brown leather bag, what do you think of this this or this?

I'm on day 3 of the CV detox, I feel rubbish but I seem to have lost 2lbs already, yay!

hf128219 · 09/06/2010 21:36

I live in Surrey, work in London.

DolceeBanana · 09/06/2010 21:38

Oh Tresanton is lovely...not at all obvious from the street...really tucked away with the most fab views...go for Room No 1 there...its wonderful. The food is absolutely delicious, faultless..

Now, one place I really want to go is Blue Palace Hotel, Crete...hmmm....

DolceeBanana · 09/06/2010 21:45

Thanks Reallygrumpy...On the house front, no haven't taken this sort of action yet...but its sort of v rural here...so it would mean pinpointing houses...We did put a note though someone's door once, in our last place and got a call from the guy saying he'd bear us in mind...but didn't bother of course when he came to sell...so we ended up in a bidding process and failed to secure because some twerp offered £180,000 over the asking price, and about the same amount above anyone else... Well done on weight loss!

DolceeBanana · 09/06/2010 21:46

Right...I'm off to bed...early night as rather knackered....catch up tomorrow !Night all!

Fel1x · 09/06/2010 21:58

Hello,
Popping in to say hi. Way too much missed to catch up on all posts sorry!

Just been on the Dukan website - I am 9st 7lbs now which is a size 10/12 (and the biggest I have ever been, i am normally around 9st and size 10) and I put in 8st 7lb as my target, which is the smallest I have ever been (and was size 8 then). It then recommends that I should be 8st 1 lb!! My god, thats tiny!!! Is it really the right target weight for someone who is 5ft 4inches?? Any thoughts? I must be huge now if so!!

How are you getting on with the diet, those that are taking part?? Worth doing?

I've missed the thread and am looking forward to having a big catch up and following all the links. Have we started thinking about AW wants and wishes yet?
LTEC -I did see the link to your shoes and they are beautiful! gutted for you that they are too small. I too have enormous feet but not the height to carry them off. My sister calls me Bigfoot affectionately

First night of the last BB on now - anyone else watching with one eye??

PS. PLum have messaged you on FB!!

roary · 09/06/2010 22:08

Bunjies try these they are so flattering
or these

I need a dress for 2 weddings and a dinner none too fancy. I need to bf in it and am inevitably drawn to tailored numbers that I couldn't feed in! Any thoughts??

mrsjuan · 09/06/2010 22:08

Hi everyone,

No chance of catching up but glad to see everything back - I've missed you!

I am so so so happy and excited! Nearly all my clothing wishes have come true in.............

Sainsbury's!

grey skinnies, white jeans, 3/4 length leggings, pretty green floral top and even a purple dress/top in homage to the VW dress

and the best bit of all is that all tops are size 8 and all bottoms size 10. And they fit - (aware that this is due to generous sizing and not my thinness) - I was literally squealing with happiness as I tried each item on.

Also thought I'd share this zebra top I bought for DD the other day because she loved looking at it so much in the shop.

Taking DD to London for the first time tomorrow on the way home for sister's wedding at the weekend - v excited.

roary · 09/06/2010 22:23

tracEy dh has been to the manoir for work dinners twice . He says v good but v rich. There is a Michelin one star near Oxford that we adore and has fab food , nut tree in murcott.

CHOOGIRL · 09/06/2010 22:34

ReineDeSaba · 10/06/2010 08:04

Re-coveting non bf friendly items I bought a spaghetti strapped sundress last week??!!luckily only a cheapie from h and m.

ReineDeSaba · 10/06/2010 08:05

got to reign in my !!!

Romanarama · 10/06/2010 08:16

Reine, practically . Every time I move she calls me 'I'm here!'. Aaaagh. Dh has now started complaining about me being grouchy about it. I just say 'shut up until you spend 3 weeks just with my mother'. Then he shuts up. Hey ho, off to IKEA with running commentary.

Romanarama · 10/06/2010 08:19

We had a pretty dreadful long weekend at Tresanton not long ago. Tiny, boiling hot room - really claustrophobic. But, we complained and they discounted quite a bit from the bill, and the fireside teas were nice. Would absolutely never go back though.

Babington House on the other hand is always on our list. Lovely.

monkeysmama · 10/06/2010 09:00

Vin the Nudies have arrived and I love them. Thank you so much. They fit perfectly.

Was it you talking about Ebay the other day? I have decided it is too much hassle unless I am selling expensive stuff. I sold a lot of things a few weeks ago and thought I'd made a fair bit of money only to find postage, envelopes etc and then Ebay fees meant it was hardly worth the fuss. I had a flurry of ordering things when I first got into it a few months ago. Two or three things I love but I have 5 dresses I've never worn and 3 pairs of jeans which are all the wrong size and going to the charity shop. Avid but not wise.

Glad the wonderbra is getting the thumbs up. Actually thanks to my sister who suggested it.

Thanks all for dress comments. Grumpy couldn't see which dress you linked to but there are a few nice ones on there. I really like the one Tracey linked to. Going to Bluewater for a few hours on Saturday morning so may try and pop into Reiss and try it on.

Months ago someone was looking for a leather summer bag and linked to some creamy coloured ones. Hells was it you? I would quite like a special tan leather bag for my birthday present but don't know that much about bags / where to look.

Am tired and a bit hungover. Well, not really hungover but feeling the effects of several glasses of red wine at my friend's leaving do. As soon as my Ocado delivery arrives am going to take advantage of dd's morning nap and head back to bed .

Kitchen looking better - granite work top was fitted yesterday and it is starting to look lovely.

Hope everyone is enjoying the grey rain .

monkeysmama · 10/06/2010 09:03

Me again. Has anyone seen any good (High Street) cropped fitted cotton trousers?

hellsbelles · 10/06/2010 09:46

morning all on this horrible day.

MM - I ended up just reusing a bag I had forgotten about - so no tips - sorry.

Tracey - the top is so pretty. I went to Manoir quite some time ago - it was wonderful but I suspect DB is right - may not be as good now that Raymond Blanc is doing so many other things. I too like Babington though I do find the food gets a bit too much after a few days. it's so samey.

MM/Roman - thanks for the bra tip - I will try that one for sure.

Durkan update. I'm not sure what's with the weight projection thing. But the actual diet is working for me. I did 6 days on attack and I'm now doing the alternating days.

I am getting thinner and it's not that tricky for me (which I do find surprising).

Reine - three cheers for sleeping children. Not sure the right advice about DD's weight...though I am NOT a fan of health visitors. I have never had good advice from them (with DS). Because of this I've only visited twice with DD. My doctor always tells me to ignore them as well?!

Vinau - I love your creation of the A&W swapshop.

I'm panicking about my Manchester weekend. I have nothing suitable for the day really. All my stuff is rather scruffy (in a good way I hope but not a Manchester way). I'm going to wear the Anglomania stripey dress for teh evening with brown strappy sandals but I have no cover up (ughh)...and no idea what to get.

LTEC - you are a funny one. So beautiful and so blind to it. The length of your feet is fine and in proportion (judging by your pic)...but I do agree with Roma - those are quite a pair of trainers! So - again my conclusion is - right size feet for height...and what's more if, with your gorgeous face and figure, anyone is even bothered about your feet (though they are fine), they are certifiable. Case closed.

hellsbelles · 10/06/2010 10:01

oh - forgot to see - after my haircut today I may just find my way to the Selfridges sale preview...it would be wrong not to - wouldn't it??

Romanarama · 10/06/2010 10:53

Reine, I've had some ridiculous advice from hvs in my life. Also I really don't think there's any case for topping up with formula being the answer, unless you're having a problem with mild production that you can't resolve by just feeding as much as possible. In your position I'd try to organise things to spend as much time as poss just hanging out at home bfing for a couple of weeks and see whether that helps. How old is dd now? (Love your new name btw).

traceybath · 10/06/2010 11:08

Reine - I totally agree with Romana. It is frustrating when formula is seen as the answer to all weight issues.

May be worth posting on the bf bit?

roary · 10/06/2010 11:15

reine am with Roma on this! How old is she? Do you think she is looking thin? You're the best judge and of course she would have lost weight. Bf will increase if that's the problem. Silly hvs.

On the bf wedding/ work dinner outfit I am tall size ten on the bottom and 12 on top, due to bf boobs. Dark hair and eyes and fair skin. I def need colour rather than neutrals! I do love a well cut dress a la michelle Obama but they are not suitable!I have spotted some uninspiring but workable things that just depress me!

roary · 10/06/2010 11:37

Could one bf in this
