In reference to a question by ltec the other day.

OP posts:
vinauchocolat · 09/06/2010 20:12

allbuggiedout just seen your post, I have posted to MM today

If anyone fancies some size 28 brand new ink coloured j brand cut-offs 26'' legs (raw hem, but designed that way) then let me know. I bought them recently and have never worn them, not quite the right size.

mm I like the summer weddingy reiss one with the leaf print, then the blue one. Also love the one tracey linked to.

ltec YOU ARE NOT FAT- THAT WAS A COMPLIMENT!!! I can't see your pic as not really on fb but I hate my feet!! I have the longest toes in history, I get so self conscious about them. Hate them hate them!

bunjies thanks, I'm just a bit shocked still, you know it feels so surreal. I keep wanting to reply to her last email less than a week ago [weird/sad/weird/shock]

what do you think of this E&J trench coat/dress thing?

Oh and thanks for the inside tip hells, am getting v excited about the NAP sale!

Fleecy · 09/06/2010 20:23

Ooh vin I would if you're sure. That's my size and I like raw hems with tees! How much do you want for them?

I like it as a trench and dress but not the jacket on its own - just doesn't seem to sit quite right.

DolceeBanana · 09/06/2010 20:24

Thanks OWW - V creative ! Pics would be good!!

Fleecy · 09/06/2010 20:26

And who was interested in the red Barbour? It's in the my-wardrobe sale with 40% off if you're looking ahead to winter...

DolceeBanana · 09/06/2010 20:26

Oh, the Dukan diet said my ideal weight was 8 5, a couple of pounds more than I am now...I'd put in 7 11, which was not a goer apparently! Mmmm....

vinauchocolat · 09/06/2010 20:28

Yes fleecy no problem at all, don't want anything for them. I bought them a month or two ago but, you know what, I feel better creating some space- peace of mind thing, priceless mail me on so fi a . pere tti at gmail.com

mm just seen this and this..

Oh no! DP demanding computer access damn him interrupting online shopping ventures over and out!

DolceeBanana · 09/06/2010 20:31

Oh god....have just had a bowl full of linguine with prawns, garlic and chilli...and am starving! What's going on? Could eat it all again!

Darn it....

Romanarama · 09/06/2010 20:35

Heavens above woman, you wouldn't know fat if it wobbled up and suffocated you

traceybath · 09/06/2010 20:38

It is tipping down here - where has the summer gone?

Dolcee - dukan had my ideal weight being more than I am now and yet on other charts I could be half a stone lighter and still within 'normal'

Fleecy · 09/06/2010 20:38

Thanks so much vin I love you! And have mailed you.

Also love the second link there. Always a flattering shape I find.

I was going to start Dukan on 1 July but remembered we have a big night out on 2nd (must start thinking about what to wear!) so decided to start from 3rd instead! I wanted to go for 9st7 and apparently 9st8 is where I should be so that'll do

Today as I was eating prawns I was thinking of you hells being soooo fed up of prawns the other day. How many days of protein only did you do?

DolceeBanana · 09/06/2010 20:42

Have to agree with Roma, Cake...you were/are not fat (hideous word)....EURGGH Damn hideous trainers though...what were you thinking?

DolceeBanana · 09/06/2010 20:47

Fleecy - 1st July is my wedding anniversary...awww...15 years, blimmin' 'eck!

TB - we are off to Whately Manor - been there yet? We are going weekend before anniversary as we shall be in the Yurt on the day itself!

DolceeBanana · 09/06/2010 20:49

Maybe it's the fact that we've had 3 kids tb?

Fleecy · 09/06/2010 20:52

Wow Dolce that's good going. Has it gone quickly or slowly?

Agree LTEC there's no way that's anything remotely approaching fat!

traceybath · 09/06/2010 20:53

Never been there dolcee - was at the manor house in castle combe this pm which seemed fairly nice.

I do still love lucknam for special dinners - will be going there for my birthday in august.

So - are we any closer to making plans for july 17th? Where and at what time shall we meet?

DolceeBanana · 09/06/2010 21:00

Seems like yesterday Fleecy!

Think you'd like Whately, Tracey...It's a Cotswold stone old house renovated beautifully, fab Gertrude Jekyll-esque gardens and sublime food/service...they have a Michelin star. Less formal than Lucknam...not chintzy...immaculate...

PS Roughly where are you living at the moment...sounds v remote!

Manor House is nice too...I love it in the winter particularly

Oh, don't mention 17th!!! Really wanted to meet you guys! DH in Dublin though so no chance!

hf128219 · 09/06/2010 21:01

Evening ladies.

Dolcee Whatley Manor is lovely. I haven't been for a few years as I don't think children under a certain age are allowed?

traceybath · 09/06/2010 21:04

We're very close to dyrham but a little but a little off the beaten track.

Was just discussing with DH though moving nearer to ds's school - being able to walk to school would be fab.

However dc's would very much miss rural living although having friends closer would be great for them.

Have got to crack on and sort out lots of activities for Henry over the summer - thinking tennis/football/cricket/swimming to keep him occupied and out of mischief. Although he is being utterly charming at the moment and ds2 is being a monkey.

Are you chew valley way Dolcee?

traceybath · 09/06/2010 21:06

I'd really love to go to Le Manoir - whose been and is it worth it?

However for my 40th in a couple of years am hoping DH and I will go to Palazzo Sasso in Ravello where he had dinner on my 30th.

DolceeBanana · 09/06/2010 21:12

hf...yes, it is lovely....don't ever take kids there...purely for us! I did take my DS to The Manor House at Castle Combe for our wedding anniversary when he was 1! He was the star of the show - v well behaved as well....

Tracey - Ahh, know Dyrham...and no, we're Badminton way! What made you think Chew?

Lansdowne is good....leafy and elegant...walking to school would be v good! I'd live there, say it every time we drive through - we go that way to Bath...

Yes, thinking of activities for mine too....Same here DS being goody, goody,...and pious...DD 1 being a monkey...

hf128219 · 09/06/2010 21:14

Not been to Le Manoir - would like to though. But a lot of £££!

traceybath · 09/06/2010 21:16

Blimey - you're so close to me

Was thinking of swimming for ds at westonbirt as know they do good courses.

Calcots not far from you either then - I do like it there too.

DolceeBanana · 09/06/2010 21:22

Haven't been to Le Manoir as being terribly snobby.. I like Raymond Blanc but feel he's sold out a bit...although he is a fantastic chef...really dedicated...I am disinclined to visit celebrity chef places nowadays, although did frequent Martin Blunos' place when he was in Stoke Bishop (shabby looking from outside), and the food was spectacular...

My fave place is 'Le Champignon Sauvage' in Cheltenham for lunch/dinner..exquisite-think it has 2 stars

I love the food at Tresanton in St Mawes- Olga Polizzi's place...stylish and cool, yet v relaxing...went there for our 10th...

I also love 'Lords of the Manor' in Upper Slaughter...michelin star, amazing!

I just love good food, good wine, beautiful surroundings...Palazzo sounds fab!

I went to the River Cafe for lunch on my 30th where Jamie was a rising star! Shows how long ago that was! We then went to Harvey Nicks where Dh bought me an LV bag and caught the train home rather sozzled ...only to have a fab birthday party the next day...hair of the dog and all that!

DolceeBanana · 09/06/2010 21:25

Spooky Tb - I am going to book DS and DD up for the mary whassername course at Westonbirt! Yeah...love Calcot - and Gumstool for taking kids! They own Barnsley House now, so great hopes for that!

Ooh, love Babington too....fab house at Kilmersdon for sale at the mo....but too near main road and too far out as DH in Clifton...

hf128219 · 09/06/2010 21:28

Like Calcot, Babington and Tresanton!

In fact pre dd Tresanton was probably one of our favourite places.

Chewton Glen is very nice.
