Leather shorts are up there with the high heels and ankle socks.

Directional fashion that most people will look STUPID in. The ones that don't will be in magazines trying to trick us into attempting to carry the look off...

blossoming · 30/04/2010 22:11

Don't we lead glamorous lives girls!

notyummy · 30/04/2010 22:12

Ah yes, Glee, with the mighty Sue Sylvester. Some of the best one-liners on TV at the moment - right up with Alec Baldwin on 30 Rock.

DolceeBanana · 30/04/2010 22:14

Hi Choo - not like you to be so restrained...not a lot you liked or didn't have time?

I like the Fench women don't get fat book....its good!Plus french women do partake of the vin!

Yes, wine is the culprit and I've ruined my day entirely now with my gluggonous downing of the red stuff, but I really do enjoy it...only 1 or 2 on Fridays and Sats usually...but this week, 4 out of 5 nights Whats' Agave Nectar?

Have a fun time at Disney - Gotta be done - just don't go wearing those mouse ears all weekend , will you!

LetThemEatCake · 30/04/2010 22:14

Choo have been thinking about your denim jacket - I think yes. They are a staple. I've had mine years, it's not like the style ever changes, really is it. Even if you only wear a handful of times each spring, def worth it.

Have a fab time in Paris!

traceybath · 30/04/2010 22:18

Has anyone had any of this coconut water stuff that was in grazia a few weeks ago - apparently its the drink to drink.

Dolcee - did you see the photos of kylie in leather shorts - not good at all. Mind you she's looking pretty dreadful generally.

Wine is surely one of your five a day being a fruit product

Choo - very envious of you going to see the Grace exhibition not so much of Disney.

dexter73 · 30/04/2010 22:18

I don't actually know her! I just put 2 and 2 together when you said she was a celeb and she has the same surname as you (obviously!) and looks like you.

DolceeBanana · 30/04/2010 22:21

Oh, just had a 'fringe' cut - long, past my eyes in a Winkleman kind of way...after many years of long - takes bloody years off I think! So, at my reckoning, 26....

And, all you mummies with 6 month plus babes, isn't it cute when your lo starts to sleep on their tummies....awwww....?

traceybath · 30/04/2010 22:23

Dolcee - I too have the side swept long fringe and winkelman was my inspiration.

Bea is a tummy sleeper but it worries me and I keep turning her over - and then she flips straight back again

notyummy · 30/04/2010 22:24

*dolceeP do tell - I am thinking of having a fringe to cover forehead wrinkles. Worried about making my face look fat!!

DolceeBanana · 30/04/2010 22:24

Yes tracey - did see KM...she is looking a bit poorly, def not glowing like she normally does...she looks a bit bag lady rather than style icon...

Perhaps the Botox is finally eating at her flesh....

Not heard about coconut water....

LetThemEatCake · 30/04/2010 22:25

no no dexter, I just didn't think she was known outside the US and Australia.

Leon is a tummy sleeper ... bc he sleeps on me. When he is in his cot (rarely) he's on his back.

dexter73 · 30/04/2010 22:28

I have a bit of an MTV addiction!

traceybath · 30/04/2010 22:30

I love that sleeping on you thing though LTEC - when will Leon go into his own room. Bea was about 8 months and I found it very hard.

DolceeBanana · 30/04/2010 22:32

Notyummy - I had a long held aversion to fringes since a previous boyfriend denounced them as 'Molly-ish'...i.e naff!

But was intrigued....so, in discussion with hairdresser, have gone for quite long fringe, way past eyes, as far as eye-socket and it looks more cool than naff!!! I have a side parting, and it seems to work...I liked it immediately... a bit of a first for me in dealings with hairdressers!!!

Yes, Phoebe does the same, and I dress her a bit lighter than normal...s/s vest, sleepsuit and 2.5 tog because nights chilly...out of interest what does Bea wear?

LetThemEatCake · 30/04/2010 22:33

love it dexter! She's good isn't she? And so beautiful.

P& C were both 1, tracey. L will prob be the same. I am a clingy mum

www.ocado.com/webshop/promotion/buy-2-vita-coco-for-2-50/4272515?showImages=yes

It's been raved about for a while. Sugar free, fat free and more potassium than a banana!

MarshaBrady · 30/04/2010 22:35

Oh so does ds2 ltec. I love his little cuddles but worry he gets too hot and sometimes uncomfortable. He is asleep next to me right now. On his side. (he wakes up in 5 mins on his back).

notyummy · 30/04/2010 22:35

Thanks dolcee. May have to take the plunge I think - a fringe is the step before botox

traceybath · 30/04/2010 22:37

Does it taste nice HF? May grab some in waitrose tomorrow - am such a sucker for stuff like that.

LTEC - I know - DH was keen for her to move out and I found it hard. But to be fair she's now sleeping a lot better as we don't wake her up every night.

Do you think you'll have any more? Was thinking today Arthur was this age when I got pregnant with Bea - not that I'm doing that again but lordy I do love babies.

LetThemEatCake · 30/04/2010 22:37

oh the fringe thing - yes, I did this last year - poor man's Botox - worked a treat. It's kind of grown out now, swept to one side. Don't think I want to go back to my Nana Maskouri (sp??) days

CHOOGIRL · 30/04/2010 22:37

Dolce I was irritated in Selfridges - they've moved the shoes around so I was disoriented. The music on the contemporary floor was so loud I couldn't hear myself think and I couldn't see anything I liked. Tried on a jacket in Theory but the sizing so random I couldn't even get it across my back.

Agave Nectar is 25% sweeter than sugar but low GI. Looks a bit like maple syrup.

LTEC/Tracybath thanks for the Denim jacket tips.

I was thinking of you TB as in Gap they had white skinnies for my dd

DolceeBanana · 30/04/2010 22:38

Cake- I would love to have my baby sleep with me- but DH such heavy sleeper would be dangerous...I'm a fairly light sleeper...My DD1 used to sleep with me alot...certainly in first few months of her life...I once was hospitalised and she came with me because she was bfed, and the hospital staff were v concerned about her sleeping with me

Mind you, hospital staff take clinical approach and not v into 'attachment' are they? Big difference between hospital delivery and oh luvverly delivery at Stroud Mat Unit...so laid back...and nurturing

hf128219 · 30/04/2010 22:43

TB- they have different flavours. The plain one does feel very refreshing. Oh, and I just checked, more potassium than 2 bananas!

DolceeBanana · 30/04/2010 22:45

Oh Tracey - yes, babies are wonderful....

Gosh Cake - 1 year...my DH was a bit like Tracey's...keen for us to have our room back...I was quite ...He was actually self conscious about you-know-what...

What does Mr Cake think?

Choo- dontcha just hate random sizing - guaranteed to pee you off...cannot ever be bothered to sift through...
