LTEC - I think I know who your sister is! Does she work for MTV?

LetThemEatCake · 30/04/2010 21:30

dexter - she did, but not any more

hellsbelles · 30/04/2010 21:31

I am a master of laying out loo paper on the seat so that my pristine bottom doesn't have to have contact with the seat

eshermummy · 30/04/2010 21:43

I am a bit phobic about public conveniences too and on planes. I really really hate having to use the toilet on a plane so normally don't drink anything and cross my legs! I can also only flush the loo on a plane after I have opened the door at least a little bit and it still makes me jump out of my skin and my heart race a bit (I always think I am going to be sucked out of the plane too!)

My DD's are the masters of touching every single surface in the most unsanitary loos - DD1 is forever running her whole hands with full palm contact along a tiled wall and commenting on the texture or colour of whatever of the tiles while I scream "Noooooooo, it's dirty".

I even lost quite a lot of weight at one point because whenever we would be about to eat out somewhere, just as my food arrived both dd's would require toileting and by the time I got back to my food all my appetite had gone sometimes for the rest of the day.

Nappychanging really didn't phase me but toddler toileting and public loos ugh.

Bet you are all really glad I shared this aren't you

DolceeBanana · 30/04/2010 21:47

Tracey - lol at your screeching about 'not touching anything' in public loos....! I am the same, with varying responses...DS would not dare because he's like me...ewww... about things... DD1 goes on a touching frenzy just to wind me up, I'm sure

Cake, I sympathise....I always use the disabled because at least I can get buggy and 2 kids in with me....but then get snotty looks when I come out...but am ready for a bit of argey bargey by then, because most loos are just pathetically small and narrow and claustrophobic!!!!!! And dirty ...... ewwwww......

Hells - yes lay paper out too!

Anyway, new trend alert - leather shorts - would you? I loved my leather mini in days gone by - but that was when I was 21, 7 stone and tanned because of too much manysunbeds-- sun ... only for the young? Comparative...discuss?

Everything ! Really...? You leave the door open? No, couldn't!

DolceeBanana · 30/04/2010 21:54

Yes, everything - methinks 'Lederhosen'...maybe good on a Chung-alikey though, with brown spindlies...

DolceeBanana · 30/04/2010 21:56

See, I think now, that on anyone over age 35, no 30 possibly younger, that leather minis may appear muttonesque ... Just my v humble opinion

DolceeBanana · 30/04/2010 21:57

But I suspect you are probably much younger

blossoming · 30/04/2010 22:00

I have to keep telling myself, a few germs are good, creates immunity!
Feeling quite squiffy now. That's the problem with nit eating after 5!

LetThemEatCake · 30/04/2010 22:00

I left the door open and wedged with pram when doing my pg test for dc3!!

DolceeBanana · 30/04/2010 22:01

Esher - I too have a v weak constitution where all (um)...matters relating to movements within the 'washing closet' are concerned....

MarshaBrady · 30/04/2010 22:01

Ha at Esher on planes- I clamp my hands over my ears and push the flush handle with my foot.

Ds is worse and hates public loos, luckily for us he has super strength ability to not go for ages.

I really want to get a BA upgrade one day....I do dress well for the flight, just on the off-chance, but my scruffy blokey lets me down every time!

Not that we've exactly been to far flung places since DCs arrival.....noooo....must remedy! Oh no, 3 under 4 and long haul hols not really a goer for me at the mo.......

hellsbelles · 30/04/2010 22:06

dolce - I got one once....and the bizzare thing was they didnt' even tell me before I boarded so when I was directed to my seat I ruined the whole 'acting cool' thing by proclaiming loudly that something was wrong...I was supposed to be in economy

LetThemEatCake · 30/04/2010 22:06

dexter how do you know my sis??

MarshaBrady · 30/04/2010 22:08

The parents were upgraded to first on BA last time they did long haul. Lucky things!

CHOOGIRL · 30/04/2010 22:08

Hi all

I'm here. Been to Selfridges tonight. Only bought two AV t-shirts. Typical I was in the mood for a spend.

Just PMSL at Glee never watched it before but it is v funny.

Am a bit at your good diets. The reason I am stuck at size 12 is the wine - but got some Agave Nectar delivered by Ocado tonight and bought the How not to get fat book so will see how I get on.

Off to Disney this weekend and Grace Kelly next Friday - I really do live a double life.

DolceeBanana · 30/04/2010 22:08

Take it back....non-slutty leather skirt is tres chic ! Like the Celine version v much...how close to the Wallis though?

Agree - pleating on leather risky biz....

Marsha - my DS loathes public loos, beacuse of the awfully loud fans etc. He is 3 and will go for hours rather than use one, bless him....

CHOOGIRL · 30/04/2010 22:10

BTW The loos in First and Club are just the same as in cattle - just the floors are less wet

MarshaBrady · 30/04/2010 22:10

Yy the fans and the hand dryers. Flying to Aus was erm interesting.
