Wonder how quickly we'll fill this one?

OP posts:
traceybath · 13/03/2010 08:10

Esher - I got the kids denim jacket - its fab - very cropped and looks good with dresses.

Right off to get my 505.

notyummy · 13/03/2010 08:27

Remember Hells - you really have to love it!!

Pic looks nice thugh.

bunnymother · 13/03/2010 09:27

Cakey - am now a follower of your blog, despite having no idea how these things work. Feeling the love now?

Am taking DD RL shopping today, going to my Mecca H&M and Uniqlo. With a smile on my dial and a spring in my step as the Uniqlo skinnies I got are too big and will be exchanged for a smaller size - whoop whoop!

Re denim jackets, I still have my trusty Sportsgirl (Aussie brand) one that is still going strong despite many many years of hard labour.

Love the idea of a meet up - am in west London, but can travel to Greenwich, with or without DD. Ha ha, we won't be hard to spot - just look out for a bunch of clones stylish ladies w prams wearing zebra scarves, Halston dresses, maxis and denim jackets, rats w flowy tops or skinny jeans, Hasbeen shoes or other clogs and 505 nail polish!

hellsbelles · 13/03/2010 09:43

morning all.

My mood is very very bad. I'm totally menstrual and have barked at everyone so feeling guilty.

Cake - very proud of you for setting up the blog. Now just have to remember my google password so I can become a follower! Once you start getting a decent following (which I have no doubt you will) do you promise to monetise it with adsense/adwords and some affiliate links?

Also just had another look at the maxi and it seems there is a bikini in the pic so it may be even more plunging than it looks?! Worth double checking if you can tolerate.

Tried on the jacket again and it got a big thumbs up from DH so it's staying (I am also stupidly swayed by the fact it's almost sold out on My-W!)

No further events of any sort on the horizon - so no required

A flying visit so this is on threads I'm on and I don't have to waste time looking for it.

Want to buy something from My-Wardrobe soon to make use of that lovely discount. Trouble is everything I love is on NaP!

MarshaBrady · 13/03/2010 12:14

I really like that jacket Hells, looks like it would look great on.

blossoming · 13/03/2010 13:12

How do we find your blog LTEC?

hellsbelles · 13/03/2010 13:25

blossoming - in Cake's post at 10.44 she put a link in

traceybath · 13/03/2010 13:30

LTEC - I have become a follower too - or at least I think I have.

Got my nail varnish - DH distinctly about it.

Also bought a white vest top in whistles - how exciting!

hellsbelles · 13/03/2010 13:30

still feeling very whiney. urghhh.

So I will now whine about how much I want a buttery soft leather jacket. That makes everything look fab. If money was no object this may be rather timeless.

Or maybe this

Has anyone could a 95% discount code for NAP?

Agree with Cake that it feels rather nice to link to objects I desire rather than just what I have and will buy (take note lurkers...we want you to join in )

hellsbelles · 13/03/2010 13:31

Tracey - I got the OPI one that is supposed to be similar and DH hated it!

Fleecy · 13/03/2010 13:48

Afternoon all,

Shaping up to be a good weekend. Good class at the gym this morning, came back and was given two boxes of chocolates as an early Mothers Day present from the DC. I wasn't expecting anything! And DH said he won't have any, they're all for me

F1 season starts this weekend too. Love it! Any other fans?

hana your post last night made me laugh!

ltec am now following your blog but notice everyone else is using their usernames but my real name is up there! Never mind. Love the shoes, good luck getting them for your anniversary

DH was a bit about the 505 but he often is about my stuff until I wear it. He thinks it's fine on. He's very good really!

traceybath · 13/03/2010 14:17

Hells - love that jacket.

Marsha - I can never find anything on my-wardrobe - if only NAP did discount.

reallygrumpy · 13/03/2010 14:53

Yay! DD's sleeping and DH is out at football so I have an hour to myself. It looks as if we're (finally) going to exchange on our new house next week so I'm off to browse furniture online in a mo... May start a thread about it.

hells those jackets are beautiful! Have you tried all saints for a cheaper (not quite so beautiful) alternative? Oh, and if you look good in olive green, cos has got some lovely olive green clothes in at the moment. There's a dress I'm planning to get - I would link to it but it's not on the website (which is a rubbish website). What's the point of a website for a clothes retailer which doesn't show you the full range or let you shop online?!?!?

LTEC - I really like the blog, you've got a great writing style and I love the name.

I've ordered the parka, thanks for the non-muttony verdict and I'm still searching for a pair of summer shoes I would actually be able to walk in and wouldn't make my dodgy knees hurt. So far I have a shortlist of:
these these these these these thesebut think maybe they're all a bit boring. Opinions please?

notyummy · 13/03/2010 15:22

grumpy - the last 2 links dont seem to work. Of the ones I could see, I much prefered the KG Radley and the Dune (4th option) ones.

Moneyspider · 13/03/2010 16:08

grumpy, have you thought of j shoes

v. comfy. love lots of the heels on the site too. and the ballet flats.

OllieWollieWoo · 13/03/2010 16:29

Well, I had the whole morning off to go shopping without kids and I brought the following :

  • 2 x baseball hats for DSs for the summer (very cute and a big hit when I showed them!)
  • Navy and white stripy long sleeved T for DS1 (he is channeling the french look this summer!)
  • 2 china egg cups with little green chickens
  • Pack of easter paper cupacke cases
  • A butterfly shaped biscuit mould (for no other reason than I liked it)
  • Pack of small chocolate eggs (for poncy in-a-china-bowl-type-decoration purposes but got hungry on the way home so scoffed 4!)
  • Navy & white stripy top with little buttons on the shoulders from H&M (this was purely one of those 'I've been shopping for 3 hours and am not going home without a purchase for me' buys.

So basically could have condensed the whole morning into 30 mins and just visited H&M and a lovely cook/homeware shop - but it was still nice to have a potter! I could blame this thread for making me far more choosey but I think this is a good thing!

Did see this white dress and thought of you Traceybath if its a tunic style number you are after? (excuse Dutch H&M website! Its the last dress on page 1 - showed in taupe but click on it and it comes up in white and black too) here

bunjies · 13/03/2010 17:40

OWW - at eating the decorative chocolates!!!

Having a bit of a mare ATM as I have booked myself a hair appt for when I am back in London but they want me to do a skin patch test 48hrs before if I want a colour. This is just not possible as I arrive the day before so I am going to have to forego the colour now and do it myself when I get back, no doubt ruining my new do in the process.

On a home related digression, I heart these [http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/category.jsp?popId=HOME&navAction=top&navCount=330&isSo rtBy=true&pushId=HOME-HARDWARE&id=HOME-HARDWARE knobs] (ooeer) for dcs bedroom furniture. My dd1 would go mental if I bought her the strawberry ones. I'm planning a day of wandering around the shops and am really looking forward to nosing around Anthropologie.

LTEC - good for you on the blogpost and am now a follower under the name Limousinelass (the Limousin being the region I live in and not because I have a fancy lifestyle! The extra 'e' because I am female [poncy twat emoticon]) I've got a couple of blogs but they are not very interesting (renovation and low carb eating [yawn]) which is why I haven't updated them in yonks. Looking forward to the next instalment.

bunjies · 13/03/2010 17:43

([http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/category.jsp?popId=HOME&navAction=top&navCount=330&isS o rtBy=true&pushId=HOME-HARDWARE&id=HOME-HARDWARE bugger here are the knobs]]

bunjies · 13/03/2010 17:47

Bloody hell, can't get the link to work. Oh well, you didn't want to see it anyway did you?!

ApuskiDusky · 13/03/2010 18:54

Hi all, mind if I join in? I've kind of been lurking, and thought a fresh thread might be a good place to jump in, especially with the "post the stuff you love as well as what you buy" sentiment - I'm 6 months pregnant, so current spending is somewhat curtailed.

I am diverting my shopping energy towards shoes, bags and thinking ahead to breastfeeding in the summer, with an occasional desperate foray into the world of maternity clothes when I seriously feel like I have nothing to wear.

My most recent purchase didn't work out: I've sent these back - loved them, but I have a thing about the thong part of sandals, just can't tolerate anything between my toes. Am seriously contemplating the toast alexas as an alternative - it looks like they have no toe thong, can anyone corroborate?

OllieWollieWoo · 13/03/2010 19:03

Oooo Bunjies - I'm just planning a trip over too - which will include a trip to London for the first time in 5 years since we moved! Its not til April but I've been a little bit sad and looked at the streetsensation website to help plan route to gain maximum shopping time eg which side of Regent St has Uniqlo/Anthropologie etc (did you know they are opening up on KIngs Road as well - shoptastic!), not to bother with big chunks of Oxford St etc etc. Very useful - if ever so slightly pathetic!!

Love the strawberry knobs (snigger!). Cute matching apron too. Shame about your hair colour tho - would they trust the results of a skin patch done in France and you sign a waiver type thing or do they have to do it themselves???

OllieWollieWoo · 13/03/2010 19:09

Welcome ApuskiDusky! I love it when a luker de-lurks! You are def following my former pregnancy shopping rules - when pregnant, accessorize, accessorize, accessorize! I still have some lovely brown wedges with wooden heels that I brought from Jones when I was a week overdue with DS1 and DH had to do the ankle srap up for me in the shop as I physically couldn't bend over bump to get to the strap!
Those glads are v, v nice.

LetThemEatCake · 13/03/2010 19:54

bunny how was shopping? Also, am booking Wiggles for July 3rd, are you taking dd? Nice work on the size down!

hana love a drunken post How's the Layla?? have you tried it yet?

hells sorry you're feeling bleugh. Glad dh liked your jacket ... mine was less enthusiastic on various points of shopping today - another one who is seriously sceptical about the 505 too.

YYY to leather jacket - me too!! I blame MM, she got me obsessing about that Owens one I have a very boring black biker from 08, nice and soft and fitted but I want biscuit or dove, dammit!! I can't even be bothered to wear mine

re user names/ real names - are we going to divulge real names at meet up???

grumpy I'm with yummy - like the KG Radley and Dune the best of those links. I returned my KG red espadrilles today - the search for a sensible heel for day continues ...

OWW ah, bliss, some child-free retail time! Glad you managed to slip in something for you

hello Apuski - I was in same boat as you not so long ago, (last summer) - congrats on your pregnancy and glad you have decided to delurk!! What a shame those sandals didn't work out, they're lovely
