Wonder how quickly we'll fill this one?

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 24/03/2010 21:53

Gosh all this talk of diets. I've upped mine a bit. It's weird dieting, I was the one at school who could eat anything and didn't want to be so skinny. Helps now I suppose. Not there yet however.

Tracey is it bad form to say well done, 7 stone! That sounds so light to me! (height thing).

MarshaBrady · 24/03/2010 21:57

I like the sound of that juicing one for a bit, but my damn juicer is kaput...

carciofi · 24/03/2010 22:15

Thanks ladies, it was a long time ago and now I mostly remember the happy times.

Hana, I love Russell and Bromley heels, and I also think you should get the dress you saw!

I hate gym classes, I have two left feet.

ReallyGrumpy, the Sculpt Capri look nice.

reallygrumpy · 24/03/2010 22:38

carciofi - my mother also died along time ago and I also find the happy memories v comforting. I just wish she'd got to meet DH and DD and had the chance to be a grandmother.

On a far more trivial note, I'm now lusting after this for the wedding in Italy in May.

this nude top

And I've no idea when or where I'd wear this but I just want it!

reallygrumpy, In style magazine has a 20% off Jaeger voucher at the mo. (Anna Friel on the cover). Or internet code ISMSS2FP .

blossoming · 25/03/2010 06:54

Morning everyone.
Thanks for your kind words MrsJ.
It's dc1 who's sad this morning. It's good that it hits us all at different times so we can support each other.

Miserable day here again. Waiting for the La dress and the Boden boyfriend cardi in silver to be delivered.

Moneyspider · 25/03/2010 09:29

I think this maxi might be lovely in RL. Model is titless and wearing it horridly. In the alternative, it might be gopping.

Moneyspider · 25/03/2010 09:58

Sorry, Blossoming, for crass maxi message. Hope you're all OK.

blossoming · 25/03/2010 10:17

No need for apologies spider. It is mindless virtual clothes shopping that is keeping me sane!

The LA dress arrived OWW. It is gorgeous. Highly flattering cowl neck, great 3/4 sleeves. Good length, not too flared. BUT, they sent me the 16!!! Grrr.
Of course it's too big.
So annoyed. Will ring customer services and rant.

Moneyspider · 25/03/2010 11:49

I have no neck but, if I did, I would buy this to wear with nautical stuff.

carciofi · 25/03/2010 11:58

Aw, Blossoming, so sorry to hear that. How annoying about the dress.

ReallyGrumpy, that is a big regret of mine too, my mother would have been a fab gran.

I love the Jaeger stuff.

I am going to Westfield this afternoon so hope DD will snooze in her pushchair and I can look around in peace!

The UO combats arrived and I really like them so thank you, LTEC!

blossoming · 25/03/2010 12:20

Can anyone link the UO combats again? (Against my better judgement!!)

traceybath · 25/03/2010 12:25

I'm grumpy today.

Decided to wear breton scoop neck top from jigsaw and realised its just too low and I'm tugging it up all day. Put jigsaw blazer on and it looks wrong - look like I'm off to be a receptionist somewhere.

And hair is having a mad day too.

Hana - roundabout at the bottom of prior park road is the second hand shop for good childrens and ladies clothes - didn't realise your mum was down this way.

Carciofi - are you after anything in particular this pm? Sorry about your mum too.

OllieWollieWoo · 25/03/2010 12:28

Just popping in - still recovering from DS2 bday yesterday! Had a lovley, lovely day - helped by the fact it was so warm here - was able to go out without a jacket and face actually caught some sun! DS2 loved all his pressies - was very sweet when opening them and saying each one was just what he wanted! DS1 was excited for him too which was good! Have posted a couple of pics on my profile of the fire engine cake! Took a bottle of red food colouring to get it red enough tho! (at one point I really thought he would end up with a pink one as the icing just didnt go red!) Was quite easy to do but didnt really leave enough time to assemble so threw it together somewhat! Should have made a road or something to stand it on and couldn't find the 2 new Playmobil firemen I hd brought to stick on it so had to use the only one we already had! The cake that looks like a pork pie was one we made for DS's favourite cow (of the soft and cuddley variety!) - who was given to him when he was born so has the same bday and DS2 wanted to make a a sweetie cake!

Pleased the dress is nice blossoming - but how annoying for you re the wrong size! I've just rung DM to check she had picked it up and her comment was that she liked it but 55 pounds was a lot of money for not much material!!! Honestly - she has no idea! Gotta go - the garden is calling (sunny again today - sorry if its not where you are!)

blossoming · 25/03/2010 12:35

Traceybath, I have a £5 navy camisole under my Bretons, ( whistles and kew). And boyfriend cardi buttoned over - cold in Wales!

traceybath · 25/03/2010 12:35

Aaagh - no disrespect to any receptionists - I didn't mean young glam ones - more like the ones in our dr's surgery. I'll stop now am just digging myself an even bigger hole.

Geordieminx - if you're reading have meant to say for ages I bought a beauty box after your recommendation and love it as do my dc's . Have just got another one for niece's birthday pressie.

OWW - glad you had a good day yesterday - its still sooo cold here.

blossoming · 25/03/2010 12:44

Ollie, that cake is just like the photo. I'm amazed and impressed, also on the tidy looking surroundings. Cute dcs too!
I keep trying on the dress and thinking, it's not really too big is it? You know when things don't cling at all, but maybe that makes you look bigger?
Anyway, I've ordered another. Luckily they have them still in stock. The truth was that all the packaging said 14, only the dress said 16. I'll wait and see, then compare.
Getting sunny here too. Might venture out for a walk later.

OllieWollieWoo · 25/03/2010 12:50

Just looked at pics - it looks like I staged the photos but honestly didnt! Tulips were on the table already - they are soooo cheap to but here at the moment - 5euros for 50! Also cleaner had come in in the morning and she is a clutter-free freak so tidies anything left on tables away (by putting it in a drawer but hey, at least its not visible!)

Wondering whether I should get a 14 dress now too - don't want anything too clingy but also not too baggy - esp with the horizontal stripes which can add width! Decisions, decisions!

All the Dutch Mums are out in force today in their white jeans - any luck with your hunt for some traceybath?

traceybath · 25/03/2010 12:52

OWW - photos look fab! Are those boden christmas jumpers - I think my DS1 has the blue one

I now have 2 pairs of white skinny jeans ready to go as soon as it warms up a bit.

Will you stay in Holland or are you just there for a few years?

OllieWollieWoo · 25/03/2010 12:56

Oooooh - I missed you buying them - where from? Saw some nice pale grey ones in H&M yesterday which looked good. but still want some white ones!

Jumpers are from Next - last season - I know its a bit cheesey to dress them alike and I don't do it v often and thought these were nice and I have a thing about then wearing jumpers at Christmas!!!!!!

I'm married to a Dutchie - have lived here for 4 years and will be here for the forseeable future - until I can persuade DH otherwise that is! Its ok - but my 2 best friends from here (English) are both moving back to the UK in the summer and I'm going to be a bit lost without them!

traceybath · 25/03/2010 13:00

My DS's (5 and 2) love wearing the same clothes.

I got white skinnies from topshop (baxters) and these.

Thats sad about your friends moving though . . .

LetThemEatCake · 25/03/2010 13:30

running in quickly to say happy birthday to hana

also - wow OWW - amazing cake, good job!!

blossoming - hope you and dc1 are ok. My dd has just really started talking a lot about "her big sister who died" and I am at the same time as being a bit wary that she'll take it on board too much, iykwim. It's a tricky line to tread. Different from your situation of course, as my dd was born after we lost dd1 - everything she knows, she knows from me, and I hope I am doing it right.

here are the UO combats

tracey - sorry you're feeling blah. I feel a bit woozy. Not enough food, not enough sleep and too much exercise I think. Caned it this morning. Need a bex and a lie-down now!! Have also had some irritations this a.m which are preying on my mind Hey ho.

Where is the bloomin' sun!!??

blossoming · 25/03/2010 13:44

Seems the sun is in north Wales for a change!

LTEC, we can only do what we think is right. I've ordered a book from amazon on parenting children who have lost a sibling, but it hasn't been released yet.

Ollie, dress looks great with navy leggings and should be fab with the jeggings when they arrive.

AllBuggiedOut · 25/03/2010 14:16

Can anybody remember the free delivery code for Urban Outfitters please? Have been faffing about the combats for so long it's now disappeared from the site but might still be worth a try... TIA!
