Wonder how quickly we'll fill this one?

LTEC, let me know how you get on with the times' fashion quiz

traceybath · 24/03/2010 17:34

LTEC - My navy blazer is very similar to the one on NAP and I bought it in Jigsaw a few years back but they tend to do a version each year.

I'd definitely check there and zara before buying the NAP one.

Have just ironed my breton top and I want to wear it with my blazer now but rain forecast tomorrow.

naimani · 24/03/2010 17:48

that dress is simply to die for!!! in both colours1!!!, i see mauritius when i look at it, balmy evenings lobster bronze skin. now just need to get back to pre baby lovliness lol

Moneyspider · 24/03/2010 17:50

LTEC- bid on this and bin the trews

bunjies · 24/03/2010 18:15

Wow,lots to catch up on. Just a really quick post on my folk's ancient pc and useless PAYG internet to say I am in love with Anthropologie and willbe going back tomorrow. Got a gorgeous buttery leather bag reduced from £135 to £20!!! Also wearing skinnies for the first time and am amazed at how sexy I look . Succumbed to silver ballet pumps too.

blossoming · 24/03/2010 18:21

Where did you get your silver ballet pumps Bunjies?

Hope you're having a good time. When's your hair apptment?

traceybath · 24/03/2010 18:21

Wow bunjies - sounds like you're having a fab time. Bargains too! Are the skinnies new too?

Hells - waiting to hear how your dress fits

rufus101 · 24/03/2010 18:46

Someone posted this before in white, but I can't do white. Too many possibilities of chocolate/youghurt handprints. www.asos.com/Ringspun/Ringspun-Border-Print-Maxi-Dress/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=1005745&cid=9979&Rf- 300=1356&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=-1&sort=3&clr=Coral

ApuskiDusky · 24/03/2010 18:48

blossoming, I went in search of it: 9 out of 30 here

blossoming · 24/03/2010 19:11

Those questions are really hard!! Good score apuski!

dexter73 · 24/03/2010 19:36

I gave up after Q.7!

hellsbelles · 24/03/2010 19:38

Evening all - love all the maxi links!

MM - meant to say how very sorry I was to hear your news and I hope you are coping o.k.

Bunjies glad you are having a wonderful time!

A while back I ordered the E&J 3/4 blazer that has been linked to and it really does feel very very cheap (and it is really NOT cheap!) so back it went. Though I do like the APC one very much

The good news is that I am a size 10 in the Moschino dress. The bad news it still isn't quite right. Everything about it is almost perfect....but for some reason I look like I have a third breast above the rosette. I suspect this may look better on someone with more delicate chest proportions.

As you might imagine at the ridiculous price this is rather wonderful. I would have to do a little judicious pinning as it's very very low cut. But it fits beautifully (again a size 10??? what is going on - I haven't lost weight?). And I look very slim in it. But but but...it's silly money for a jersey dress. Not silk jersey even. Urghhh. I have tonight to decide (it's sold out in all the other sizes so it isn't as if I can send it back and check out other dresses before I decide). I know if I send it back I'll find it hard to match it with anything better and I'll regret it.

Sorry - rant over. If anyone happens to spot a really beautiful dress suitable for attending my DM's daytime wedding in late June please tell me!

traceybath · 24/03/2010 19:41

Hells - I love the YSL dress. Did you feel amazing in it though because I think you should.

I think you'd get a lot of wear out of it - dinner/drinks out etc.

And you clearly are teeny tiny. What did DH think?

hellsbelles · 24/03/2010 19:43

oh I got 9 too...but mostly the questions that weren't directly related to fashion only (if that makes sense!)

hellsbelles · 24/03/2010 19:46

DH likes it a lot Tracey! But the truth is we don't go out that much to the sort of places I could wear it?! Having said that - you are right that it is far more adaptable than a more formal 'wedding guest' type dress. I am so unsure what to do. I feel that for that kind of money it should be pure silk with hidden diamonds in the hem

traceybath · 24/03/2010 19:50

I know what you mean but do think the fact that its perhaps a little less formal/traditional means you'd get more use out of it.

The colour would also work well in winter so an all round dress.

Can you tell - I really like it

What shoes would you wear with it?

mrsjuan · 24/03/2010 19:53

I got 12! but there were some lucky guesses in there!
Love the YSL dress hells

traceybath · 24/03/2010 19:53

I like this jacket.

Am also hankering after some pale grey skinny jeans - anyone seen any nice ones anywhere?

ApuskiDusky · 24/03/2010 20:01

Hells, I think the second dress is lovely. I can't remember if you're fixed on purple; if not, I love these three (and if you are, allow me to vicariously indulge!):

love this #1

and this

this one too

I do love a good drapey dress!

LetThemEatCake · 24/03/2010 20:01

hells you skinny minny temptress - nice work, lovely!!

I'm with tracey on all of the points she raised - I know it's a lot of money but it is a very special occasion, and it does look very wearable long-term.

bunjies glad you're having a blast!

Found this as a potential navy blazer ... with my discount, my credit note and the cashback thingy, would end up costing about £40. What do you reckon? Generally I find MB's quality to be v.good (thanks for the heads up on the E&J hells)

off to do the quiz - back later

traceybath · 24/03/2010 20:05

I like that LTEC - definitely worth a try I think.

Moneyspider · 24/03/2010 20:08

Traceybath- seen some in mint velvet that look good and keenly priced.

The jeggings that blossoming linked to earlier looked fab too.

traceybath · 24/03/2010 20:10

Oh those mint ones look lovely. I want a nice grey like those not grungey grey .

mrsjuan · 24/03/2010 20:11

I like both those grey skinnies but my legs must be at least twice the width of that indigo model's. They're not going to work for me are they

Love that blazer too LTEC and if you can get it for £40 that sounds like a bargain.

LetThemEatCake · 24/03/2010 20:16

ooh tracey looks like you might have a new fave site - the jacket and jeans are both lovely

got 14 on the quiz.
