Wonder how quickly we'll fill this one?

Oh, I do like that tunic cakey

Do any of you wear those winter ankle boots with peep toes? I'd feel a bit daft going around all covered up but with my toes sticking out I think, and I honestly can't ever remember seeing anyone in them in rl.

traceybath · 20/03/2010 15:15

Nice tunic.

Is this a possible rats top too?

MissWooWoo · 20/03/2010 16:18

afternoon all

just popping in to say a big thank you to all involved in talking me down from the whole maxi dress/t shirt debacle ... going down a size and finding the right bra has worked a treat. It has cheered me up no end after a very shitty week!

dear god, they are driving me mad
wet day, me feeling like utter cr*p and 3 children whose whiny tendencies are reaching epic proportions in the face of colds, snuffles and impetigo

on the plus side have not been able to eat for about 3 days so tummy is pancake-flat

not sure about that top tracey - I don't like the idea of double stripes, as the rats ruching has a slight stripey effect?
BTW that song that your boys like was just on and we all danced to it singing "stick your bum out, everybody in love"

what shoes are you wearing tonight?

so have ordered that Vila tunic and a mango tunic

and am thinking I deserve more retail for my solo parental efforts this weekend and could quite do with a pair of run-around tan glads for the summer as have 3 pairs of metallic/ embellished flats already (not quite sure how that happened) so am considering these - would value opinions and alternatives, pref from faith site as 20% ends ce soir

thankee kindly

LetThemEatCake · 20/03/2010 16:49

you deffo deserve some RT.

rufus101 · 20/03/2010 18:14

A lurker here outing myself! Question for you very knowledgeable laideez! Are the hasbeens comfortable. I love the look of them, but the last time I got a wooden pair of sandals, I found them excruciatingly uncomfortable as there was no give in them whatsoever. I love the souglysoright look of them.

Barbabelle · 20/03/2010 19:28

LTEC I love that cowl neck tunic top - lovely shape. I'm loving your choice in tees. I've been scrolling back on the thread and found some other lovely bits you've linked to - have ordered a couple of tops (horse tee and nude cowl neck) from urban outfitters, plus the cropped pants. I've also ordered this which might be a mistake. Intending to create a version of this look, only a bit more low key - mustard cardi, black pashmina, black leggings and black fly mols.

Had outing to art gallery and a couple of real life shops today. Bought a chanel lipstick in a really vivid corally-pinky-red shade to brighten me up. I think it suits me but is VERY bright.

Barbabelle · 20/03/2010 19:39

Georgina I'm really intrigued by the toast trousers. I've wondered about them myself so looking forward to hearing your feedback.

LTEC I quite like the tan glads but I don't think they're quite as nice as the toast alexas which are so pretty I have them casually displayed in the living room so I can keep looking at them. Even wondering about ordering them in tan as well (have them in gold), but that might be a bit extravegant. Hope your weekend gets easier. I live alone with my two boys, but ds1 is 9 and a good help. I can't imagine how I'd cope with three little ones.

LetThemEatCake · 20/03/2010 20:24

phew, all asleep. I am seriously considering career as storybook author - judging from the dc's seemingly insatiable appetite for 'stories from my head' I might be on to something.

Barbabelle generally it's fine being on my own with the 3 of them, but everything feels a bit trickier when your whole body is aching and you feel like you've got ice running through your veins!! really glad you like some of the tops etc and think that sartorialist girl looks fabbo - let us know how it works out. Totally agree that the Faith shoes are nowhere near as nice as the Alexas but really can't justify the ££ when I already have so many summer shoes...

on which note, glad to see another delurker rufus I only took delivery of my Hasbeens the other day but first impressions are that they are very comfy. Porridge has had hers a while and also speaks highly of their comfort factor ... HTH!

Thanks LTEC! Loving this thread. Am totally addicted! Am so close to ordering them now. Just can't make up my mind re colour. Think I'll go for the natural and darken them with the olive oil as they suggest. Also am very fixated on a pair of campus frye deborah boots .on javari.co.uk (Sorry can't do links) Decisions, decisions. Off to look at toast now.

Am on iPhone so diff to see but will check properly tomorrow. Initial thoughts are fabulous, sirenous shape but I'd lose the shoulder bits as I think shoulders are a thing of beauty and should be bare as often as possible

Hmm. Methinks test run is in order.www.javari.co.uk/Frye-Womens-Deborah-Shortie-Boot/dp/B002LISDVC/ref=sr_1_5/ Think that worked. Doesn't come up like yours with a nice "here". Am obsessed with getting a boot that I can wear with skinnies and also with opaques and skirts.

rufus101 · 20/03/2010 23:40

Okay. Now that I have mastered (sort of) the linking business, need your opinions. Simple choice really (you would think) Peeptoe highs in natural www.swedishhasbeens.com/peep-toe-high-p-10.html or the braided high in natural or brown. For some reason I find myself strangely drawn to the blue, but know from experience that it will limit what I wear.www.swedishhasbeens.com/braided-high-p-9.html Have numerous pairs of red sandals so that colour is out. I think I'm in need of professional help here. And I don't mean from you guys!

GeorginaWorsley · 21/03/2010 00:00

Saw gorgeous vests in there too,the quality of the cotton felt great.
May be better to buy at £20 (plus discount!) and have it las tthe summer instead of less than £10 and all shapeless after a few washes.
