Boden USA sale starts first and stock plummets!!!

I noticed that the USA sale had started today and was told by someone on the phone that their stock came from a seperate warehouse and the UK would be completely unaffected. However...I had been watching a few items (they were in my basket) and the gold brogue pumps were available in gold in most sizes last night and now they are totally sold out and when you check the stock it's the same on both sites.

I just can't beliebe Boden start the US sale first, what about their loyal British customers??!!

When's the UK one starting?

I would like some new things for post-pregnancy and as I find boden sizes quite generous I might not feel too horrified by the size I'll need!

yes, but i think they have different stock here to the US as some stuff was available on the US site pre sale when out of stock here and vice versa.

Bastards, the stock is clearly the same, all the same sizes have sold out on both sites. Not good Johnnie, Not good.

i thought the sale always started in america first, no idea why it should, but am sure it's not a new thing.

It can't possibly be the same stock- how owld they send stuff from the Leicester warehouse to the US? well yes, by air, but what a wait and cost!

A very nice (and rather concerned) Boden person has contacted us to say she's like to assure you all that the US stock comes from a completely different warehouse to the UK one.

So, US orders (sale or not) will not affect stock in the UK.

(And, yes, the UK sale does start on Friday - at 10am)

i would love to know what percentage of their customer base mumsnet makes up.

I believe them re US stock being different, but I do hope there is actually some UK stock left - it all looks pretty low, unless they have reserves they hold back for the sale which would be odd....

yes isn't the whole point of a sale to get rid of the dross at the end.

I suspect they didn't have as much stock this season because of economic downturen.

There's hardly any womens stuff in the smaller sizes.

I've seen quite a few 8s, just not a lot between 10 and 16!
